35559 Oh yes that first two towers were never ending 🤭 cupcakes got introduced for TTII just to try and finish it up and then people would get annoyed as they wanted to read and not do puzzles ☺️ #funtimes

I don't think she is really a fantastic author so if you didn't take to Minaturist then probaby just worth moving on. I'm not sure how accurate she was in this book either, but I'm not informed enough about the 1936 spanish civial war to comment :o

The Muse by Jessie Burton
since 2016 when I read The Miniaturist. She has a beautiful and poteic style of writing, but I could do with it in small doses. Perhaps slightly less than 8 years apart but... ah well ;)
