Dawn by Octavia E. Butler
Fascinating!
She was a forerunner on aliens, I think. There seem to be some more current sci-fi with somewhat similar aliens.

35559 I finished Delta Wedding by Eudora Welty which was not my favorite, but it was an E, and you know, learning about another place is good I think.

I also finished Being Heumann An Unrepentant Memoir of a Disability Rights Activist by Judith Heumann
which was inspirational!

I'll go about with housework now and finish The Mountains Sing by Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai

(edit - I can see Melissa is reading this too!)"

Cool! I'm glad to read this at the same time as you :) Have you read other Octavia Butler? I've read The Parable of the Sower and Kindred. And then I read the biography of her earlier in this challenge.
I'm going to pick it up at the library tomorrow.
