Congratulations on your new job!
No worries about the reading. Settle in first :)

Good question.
I'm sharing the time between audio and book.... I'll go with the book I have in hand?
It helps to make the long books go faster for me :)
I can go with default though if need be!
35559 How will we know if we are going to do DQ?

35559 How are your books going? I am listening to The Once and Future King, a book I wasn’t so sure about, and I’m finding it pretty funny! In an old English sort of way. I’m reading it too, and it’s kind of fun.

35559 I butted in to Team Achilles ...
They are writing poems, so I thought I'd try a haiku

Here it is:

My book is finished
Now I stare at the countdown
Better than housework

I am totally trying this out this summer. I just found a Snoopy Starry Night one that I love. Do you any of you have a particular website / store you use to purchase these?

I love puzzles. My daughter has an Edward Gorey one on the table right now that we're picking away at.

I listen to this podcast where the women go to their library and do a "book flight." This is where they go through the stacks and pick out as many books as they can carry, and then check them all out. Then, they decide which ones to read as they look through them. I thought this was sacrilegious, until I tried it. It was like going to an all you can eat buffet as a kid. Amazing. And they say it helps the libraries because they can document how many checkouts they have in a year for funding.

I hear you. Library sales - yeah, they are dangerous! I'm trying to read one I own and one I get from the library at a time, because sometimes I buy them, and then they just sit there....

Oh, nice. A sitting area with a stone path sounds lovely. Squash are some of my favorite things to grow. I just love the flowers so much. They are so beautiful. I don't think they are too difficult to grow, since they take up space and you don't have to weed too much.
Are you growing the cucumbers in the ground or in containers? I didn't have much luck with them last year, but I'll probably try again this year.

Ooooh! Thanks! I'm in a year long nonfiction challenge on the nonfiction book club page, so I'll definitely read some of these. Our group there loves true crime, so I'll recommend some as well. I'll look for them on our library's Libby for audiobooks too.
I'm trying out trivia groups lately - and reading nonfiction definitely boosts my chances of knowing the answer to a question:)

What is diamond painting? That sounds fascinating. You know, I have a couple of lap quilts I should have finished years ago.... maybe I'll link that goal to this challenge. They say you're supposed to attach goals to habits to achieve them....
