How is this series? I have the first book, but unsure if I should bump it up the line or not:P

35559 A Shiver of Light (Merry Gentry #9) by Laurell K. Hamilton
Date: 5/7/17
pg: 372

Sadly it was a disappointing read. Started out good, then just dragged along and cramped all the main action into the last 40 pages and gave a feeling of "let's cut this short" at the end.

I have read that series for the first time this year and I was kind of sad to reach the final book so far:P

I have not read this particular series, but I have had the same problem with series before too, like this one Cast in Shadow (Chronicles of Elantra, #1) by Michelle Sagara , but the rest got better=)

My TBR list will never be finished or get any shorter since I add between 20-40 books every time I participate in a team challenge:P

Aha. I'm actually reading that series for the first time now:P I like it so far, but I wouldn't say it's a favorite. I think some of the stories are good, albeit a bit predictable.

Managed to finish my book within the deadline at the library:P

No tears so far, just some laughing and smiling, but I'm barely halfway through, so I guess they're right around the corner.

35559 I dove right into A Court of Wings and Ruin (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #3) by Sarah J. Maas yesterday, then realized this morning that The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay has to be returned to the library tomorrow...! Thought about just skipping it and return it unread, but I'm so glad I decided against it in the end, it is much more captivating than I had expected it to be=)

35559 1. What was your favorite vacation?
Last year a friend and I travelled around Italy for three weeks, just going wherever we wanted to. Definitly one of the best so far!

2. What's your favorite dessert?
Brownies!

3. What are your favorite TV shows?
Nearly impossible to narrow it down, but here are some:
Wildfire, Grey's Anatomy, Nashville, Elementary, Private Practice, Supernatural, Vampire diaries, Game of Thrones

4. Do you have any pets? What are they?
I don't have any myself, but my dad still has our cats from before I moved out. Their names are Smokey and Bandit, but mainly they're called Kitty 1 and Kitty 2 (Pus 1 and 2 in Norwegian):P
My mum still has the parakeet, Minni, at her place.

5. What's your preference: ebook or hardback/paperback?
Paperback, without a doubt. I can see the benefits with e-book, but I'm still not used to it.

35559 So which books have people planned to read in May? Any special?

I for one feel like a kid at Christmas because, finally, A Court of Wings and Ruin (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #3) by Sarah J. Maas is coming!!! As soon as I get my hands on that one I will do nothing else than reading until I'm finished:P

I also have some library books that need to be read: Lover Unbound (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #5) by J.R. Ward Lover Enshrined (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #6) by J.R. Ward A Shiver of Light (Merry Gentry #9) by Laurell K. Hamilton

I would really recommend the Poison Study series, as well as the spin-off series Storm Glass. Okay, basically most of the series from Maria V. Snyder is recommendable:P
