Day 1 Ch 1 to CH 8

1.) What do you think of the premise of the book, like an aging rock band getting back together to go on tour but an adventuring band instead? Is the author pulling it off so far?
High fantasy with a world of its own + a map + many different types of fantasy beasts? I am sold. I find the humor of the book very nicely done so far. Didn't expect to be tickled at unexpected places. I love Clay.

2.) The rocks, may of hit me a bit in the feels. Did it affect your opinion of Gabe at all?
That was kind of unexpected. I didn't have a great first impression of Gabe & it made me start to view him differently.

3.) How do you like the world building, is it being done effectively for you without major info dumping? Is it helping to set the stage for the story? I love how bits and pieces of information are presented, especially from Clay's POV.

4.) What did you think about the parade? Did anyone else enjoy Clay's reaction to the ladies being whistled at and be disappointed when the lady blew a kiss back instead of skewering the guy (like Clay expected to happen)?

5.) Do you have a favorite character so far?
Definitely Clay. I am starting to get a good feeling about Gabe though my first impression of him isn't that great.

Just finished . I started this series a few years ago without realizing that it is ongoing. The author just released #26 last month.

I'm enjoying it so far but the thought of getting to #26 when I just finished #8 is quite daunting. I suppose I will get there some day. At the rate I'm going & if 1 new book is released every year... I will catch up probably in 2050? =P
