Awesome! I was also thinking if need be we could always do some audiobooks for the big books. I'm not a big audiobook person but I would do it for the cause.

Thanks Shannon! I'm glad everyone is liking it. I didn't spend much time on it and so I really wasn't sure what everyone would think of it. I finally got a chance to actually look at the class info closely and I guess I felt inspired hahaha

35559 Bummer! We’ll come up with something I’m sure! I have a ton of books from the library that I can go through and see if I can come up with anything. I think we’re doing good though. We’ve completed a lot already especially for only being 10 days into this.

35559 I don’t see why you couldn’t use them then, right?

35559 The only question I have about your Transfiguration idea is do the titles have to go together?

35559 I was wired last night when I was looking at the classes, at first I thought History of Magic would be a doozy but then I realised I was overthinking it. I’m glad it might work. I looked on the spreadsheet and it didn’t seem that these books had been applied yet. Hopefully we can get some big points! I think we’re in a good place points wise and our whole house is doing awesome 👏

35559 Anna, I’m reading a book that is 518 pages. I’m also thinking strategy wise that maybe we could do some audiobooks for the giant books.

35559 I think I might have an idea for History of Magic. How does this sound (my feelings will NOT be hurt if no one likes it):

The Wolves of Winter, while in Club Shadowland, were Blood Bound to use Everyday Magic. This allowed them to turn The Girl Who Smiled Beads into Air and Ash. Therefore, giving them the status of Second to None.

The Wolves of Winter by Tyrell Johnson
Blood Bound by Patricia Briggs
Club Shadowland by Cherise Sinclair
Everyday Magic by Barbara Bartholomew
The Girl Who Smiled Beads by Clemantine Wamiriya
Air and Ash by Alex Lidell
Second to None by Nancy Herkness

Just Business (Takeover, #2) by Anna Zabo"

Here's the link for what we used during Cutthroat to determine the percentage of color on a cover:

http://labs.tineye.com/color/34e494bc...

I checked your book and it looks like it is 42.4% of different shades of brown. I'm not sure if it has to be a certain percentage of brown but maybe that is something we can get clarified.

#46271c 49.2 % Morocco Brown (Brown)
#cf9e8a 14.1 % Cameo (Brown)
#7c4332 9.0 % Peanut (Brown)
#1b120f 8.3 % Seal Brown (Black)
#764e44 8.3 % Old Copper (Brown)
#b66649 6.6 % Tuscany (Brown)
#9f7a53 4.4 % Muesli (Brown)

Were you wanting to use this book for Herbology? If so the brown book has to be 500+ pages.

35559 Just realised that Geri and Imke both already volunteered for the June BOMs. Thank you to you both and if either of you needs a backup let me know. 🤓

35559 Morgan wrote: "We have for sure nailed it BUT since that should be easier to complete, aside from the higher page number books, I’m waiting until later on to use the lower page count books towards arithmetic page..."

Makes sense now. I don't know what I was thinking! LOL I guess finally getting a day off and being able to look through everything properly is starting to sink in hahaha

BTW are we finished with the unforgivable curses?

Thanks for all your help and hard work! Let me know if I can help any.

Is this what we need to complete for Arithmancy? I'm confused about that class as well. I'm sure I'm making it more difficult than it needs to be. I guess what I'm questioning is the definition of the tiers. If it is as simple as this then we should have it nailed or almost nailed.

35559 Yobgorgle, Mystery Monster of Lake Ontario

Yobgorgle by Daniel Pinkwater

Finished: 5/21
Pages: 160

Letters could be used for:
A-(Professor) Ambrose McFwain
D-Daniel
E-Eugene Winkleman
K-(Colonel) Ken Krenwinkle
L-Librarian
P-Pinkwater
S-(Captain) Sinbad Weinstein
U-Uncle Mel
V-(Captain) Van Straaten
Y-Yobgorgle

Could possibly be used for Care of Magical Creatures because it has a pig on the cover. The pig is actually a submarine that can swim, fly (hydroplane), has a food making plant on it that converts fish into any type of food you like, (ex. roast beef The food that's made has the texture and look of whatever it's supposed to be but it tastes like fish).

Fantastic! I feel a little useful now as far as the classes go. I guess I need to print out the guidelines for the classes so I can pay better attention to them.

35559 I hope so if not it’s not a big deal. I’m positive we’ll read two hardbacks at some point. Thanks!
