Day 1 - prologue - Chapter 5

1. What sort of stuff do you like in your horror books? Do you like the slow pacing here?
I don't like things being super scary or graphic, so I'm great with the pacing so far - there are hints of spookiness but nothing that has made me want to put it down.

2. What do you think of the sister's and their relationship with each other? I love how they are each very different from each other and yet have strong bonds (or they seem to). They each seem to be coping in pretty strong/weird ways

3. We are getting hints about the strangeness around the Hollow girls, and at what happened to them. What are your suspicions? Would you be like Cate with her daughters, and not push at the memories overtly or dig actively? I don't really have any theories except for the general it must be something supernatural. I THINK I'd probably push more to find out what happened.

4. The descriptions (of Grey's clothing in particular!) is very atmospheric. Are you enjoying the descriptive language used?
I loved that description of the clothes. And the perfume - although if I smelled what Iris smelled, I'd never wear it.

Thanks for the heads up! I know that for sure I am one of the ones lagging and I'll sure try to get caught up! If Ii remember right, I said 21 per month - so I need to (or at least will try to) have at least 10 total by the time this round is over. So eeek - yup - need to step up !

I have a big event I'm in charge of on Saturday and should have more time after that (knock on wood).

Somehow I missed the "main character/important character" in my brain - I'll update mine too just in case - to give other options if nothing else.

I need to read: 1414º by Paul Bradley Carr
I'm not sure what letter we'd say the title starts with, since it's a number. Maybe none? But it could be read "one thousand four hundred fourteen" or "one four one four" or "fourteen, fourteen".

Anyway - not sure if we can use it for an "O" or not.

My Under the Whsipering Door book has the bonus (but I'm pretty sure you already counted that one).

And yay! I got chosen to do questions for the first BOM read! I think for tower I volunteered every time and never got chosen :)

If I get lucky and am picked, can you please put me on any day except day 1? The 16th (and 15th) are crazy for me.

I was super mentally distracted yesterday and couldn't settle to read, but I started (barely) my first book! I'm thankful for reading - it can help distract/calm me :)

Sometimes the time is just not right for a particular book. Lol and sometimes the book is just not right for a particular person.

I'll be interested to know if you like Star Mother!

Oh I'm glad you asked that Pooja. I assumed that was true - wheels on a cycle counted. That is why I marked yes for Under the Whispering door (a parked scooter on the cover). So it is good to check.

Although all day yesterday I was thinking it was Thursday, so I'm not a very trustworthy time source :)
