No problem! I'm glad that helped!

Vicki - I'm pretty sure what Teddie was referring to is the books from round 1. We want to finish each round as quickly as we can so we can go to the next round and get more points/use more books.
I think for Round 1 the ones you are signed up for are "Taking Shots" (already done) and "Same as it Ever Was"

I'm ok with repeating D9, but it's kind of more fun to do a district tour first :) I put my finished potential backups for this round above.

I'm fine with banking them (of course) but I did finish 2 books yesterday - one that covers "E" and one that works for tasks D or H (yellow writing or grain related in plot- they buy a sack of wheat to make flour/bread). Just in case they are needed as backups.
Captains, are you ok with my not claiming specific things, just trying to find books useful for a variety of tasks? Lol - I've started worrying I'm doing it wrong. nvm - after looking at the spreadsheet, I think I'm fine. I swear - I should never ask things first thing in the morning!
But one thing I did right is finished my books just now for round 1. :)

I've added the set of books I'm pretty sure I'll get done before end of challenge. I didn't claim anything specifically, because who knows what we'll be filling. But I did write all the tasks they work for. I can write the letters they'd work for was well - let me know if you want me to :) Just trying to prepare for when we are out of contact.
I'll also have the three I claimed for round one finished tomorrow morning - they are all waiting to end :) One of them is driving me crazy not reading the last bit!

Sendin..."It has been awhile since I've read one, so that'd be fun!

This is a fun last challenge! I will be on a cruise the 7th through the 14th - I'm going to purchase internet just for myself - making the grandchildren jealous I'm sure. But I won't have computer access, just my tablet and phone. I'll pre-plan as much as possible, have stuff on my shelves, but may need linking help at times. I'll be back to finalize stuff before end of challenge.
At least, that is plan A. But...my health is still not great so ??? I was in the ER Saturday and have several appointments this week, so I may be here, linking all my books myself, and super grouchy :/

Sounds good. I didn't see dates on the mini (although I should look again) - its it finished after August 1 but we can start any time?

Mine is done. I'll update when I get home.

Or maybe it was their super-powers :)

I couldn't see the lines either this time. but I'm sure they'll magically appear sometime.

I finished Mockingjay, but the book rows seem hidden - kind of like what Vicki was describing earlier. Anyway, no rush - I'll try to remember to put the "read" indicator and date in tomorrow.

Now for my end part comments: so wow, this was so much more violent and bloody than I remembered. Really, really grim. I loved Boggs - what a great secondary character. But really, how could I not like the whole team!?
But the thing I wanted to focus on with this comment was the memory book that Katniss and Peeta made - memories of all the people, their sacrifices, and of the good things that had happened since. I really loved that idea. Perhaps we should all make one of those that highlight important parts and people of our lives.

I finished - and will put my end thoughts in the next post. But here are my midbook thoughts:
What a contrast between Gale and Peeta. I still hate love triangles, and I wish the author had made Gale her brother just...not a love interest. But the path of violence he chose would never have helped Katniss endure and recover from her ordeals. When they discussed mid-book his plans for weapons, taking advantage of sympathy, etc. - well yikes. I had totally forgotten how those weapons were later used, but even without that use, what he was planning was wrong.
It was shocking to see Peeta so confused and violent. And it was wonderful to see Finnick and Anna - their love for each other and the happiness at being together.

Oh no Sophie! That's got to be so difficult! You have tons to do even when everything is working!
Melindam wrote: "Oh, relieved that we got to the end of the battle books (at least in theory) and with D9 winning this round hopefully there will also be the end of the "we are the meanie team" narrative."Lol yeah - I was a little baffled by that too, and still am when I look at letters passed. But oh well, perspective is everything!

That's weird - I'm not sure what's going on, but I see lots of books in the Round 3 tab. I wish I were more of a spreadsheet guru, but I bet there is a sync or something that would work
Wild Seedis another one (on my TBR). So looks like a variety of genres are available, which is cool.
