Judith - ty for the answer about not banking books. In many ways that makes it even more fun as a team challenge because of the need to coordinate. And I imagine it's more of a challenge for you captains too - please speak up if there are things that would make your lives easier.

As a semi-funny coincidence, two weeks ago when clearing out my closet storage I found this hardcover, which I've owned for over 10 ye..."Sounds like a sign!! I read that one a long time ago, but I remember it being interesting.
Question: For the travel Itinerary mini - it has this sentence: The next itinerary can only be started once the previous itinerary has been completely finished.Does that mean we need to watch finish dates? Like, if I have a Croatia book, but strategically it (might be?) better to wait for it to be on a later trip, should I wait to finish it til we are ON that later trip?
I hope that makes sense.
I found Great Big Beautiful Life on Spotify premium, if that helps anyone. Here are some of the mini-challenge hard country books I found - but they should probably be double-checked. I did my best though to check on them :) I'll try to read quite a few of them - I own them all.
Croatia - The Collaborator’s Daughter
Albania The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax
Honduras The Lost City of the Monkey God
Montenegro The Black Mountain
Philippines - Along the Broken Bay
Somalia Keeping Hope Alive: One Woman: 90,000 Lives Changed
Tanzania Trade Wind
Anyway - hope that helps! It gives me a potential book list anyway :)
Hello team. I'm so happy to see some familiar faces, and some faces that will be familiar in a few short months!I'm Suzanne - I live in Idaho with my husband and 1 son - and have another son and daughter that don't live with us. I have a Big English Mastiff that is super well behaved - but that's because he's not a puppy. Good thing puppies are so cute, right Cathy?
I will be reading a lot of science fiction/fantasy because I'm voting in the Hugo awards, and want to be a responsible voter. I'll knock off the novellas and short stories this week since they wouldn't count for tt points. And I must be super excited for this challenge because I already found several books that fit some of the "hard" countries. Admittedly, my husband and I looked several of those up - I'd never heard of them!
My shelf is 25tt: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...
Would it be possible for me (or a Mod) to change my monthly books to 15? (I had put 10.) I just got my Hugo packet, and to be a responsible voter I need to step up my reading! So sorry to cause more work.
I'm glad I saw them before you deleted them because it boggled my brain too. I did add one - the second book in the Dungeon Crawler Carl series since I'm reading the first one, which is on the list at 96 (or was). And really, I feel like those books are pretty geeky. I am going to listen to the Will Wheaton book too.
Thanks a bunch for putting the tasks in the spreadsheet Teddie! It has been quite a crazy day and I finally got back on goodreads :)
I rolled The Master/Missy (Fictional human wheel) and
Drop Bear (Urban Legends)
I'm running late but will edit this with the tasks later today
Sorry I haven't been very talkative - we've had company over the last few days. I LOVE the images - both of them lol .
My two favorites areSecret Daughters of the Lonesome Stalker
The Night Doves and Demon Stalkers
but really, we can't go wrong with any of the names :)
Oh thanks for the checkbox - that'll be useful. I hope I didn't overwrite anything someone else was planning on for Lamia - I just finally finished a book! I've been taking it easy since Book Games.Welcome Johanna!
I spun Dr. Who - The Gelth (very hard). I won't make an entry here yet, since I don't have cute badges, but tasks are:
500 to 650 pages
Title has 5 or more words
Set in Wales, Scotland, or N. Ireland
blue cover >50%
Author initials (all) in Victorian
Oh I also noticed there is a new category - Vegemite or something.
