erm, shouting is not really my style, so I'll politely point out that I have a book that works for turtle on the cover. It certainly would fit somewhere else, but... turtles.

Fate? No idea LOL

In just a few more days, we are off on our reading adventure for Tower Teams 8!
Do you know which book you're going to start the challenge off with? Or maybe yo..."
Good morning!
To be honest, I have no idea... I have found a book with 2 turtles on the cover, so I might start with that one. But nothing set in stone yet

Also, do books started before the challenge begins count?

if they do go back on what they said, then they are going to have a lawsuit on their hands. But I don't think that will happen. HR told me they are trying to figure out how to reinstate me, as the contract termination fees had already been paid to me... I haven't touched that money yet, so I can give it back if needed.
Brazil is a bit of a mess when it comes to employment termination, so I guess they're having a bit of a headache trying to figure things out (actually, Brazil is a bit of a mess in everything LOL. For instance, I could never get my American counterparts to understand the tax system here).
Now that I know I'm being reinstated, I can relax a bit for the next couple of days :)

What happened last week was that I was asked to go to the office (I had been working from home since March, because of COVID-19). There was no real reason given, so I got a bad feeling immediately.
When I got there, I learned that I was being fired, due to the financial impacts of the pandemics. While this didn't catch me by surprise, it was a bummer, as a new job would be pretty hard to find.
But then, this week a law was passed that vetoed the dismissal of people with disabilties (which I am). And then I began talking with a lot of lawyers to figure out if this law could be applied to my case or not. Some said yes, some said no. I decided to contact HR and see what they would do.
Yesterday, I got an e-mail from them, saying that after consulting the Legal department, I would be readmitted. Now I'm waiting to hear how this will go.

I got some rough news the last week, so I've been processing them...
I am reading, slowly but surely, and I hope to finish a book for this week
