I think everyone can jump in on a BR at a later date. One BR I participated in still has people joining in. One BR I finished last week, I am still waiting to get enough interaction before posting to books read thread. Too many other things going on and other books to read.

The books I posted with a gold ring and glasses, I thought could be used for transfiguration. Turning glasses into a gold ring. Like alchemy, the ancient art of turning things into gold. Am I reaching? LOL

For the water spell I have The One Real Thing (Hart's Boardwalk, #1) by Samantha Young and Steel's Edge (The Edge, #4) by Ilona Andrews both have water on cover. So should work.

Right now I am reading a 702 page book and should be finished by Friday. Hoping that will fulfill the 650-800 page level for Arithmancy. Do we still need to complete the 800-900 page level?

Transfiguration is the most difficult one for me to understand. Can something like The Wife by Alafair Burke and Glimpse by Jonathan Maberry work?

I found a pair of books for water spell and will read them next.

35559 Do we need a vampire book for holy water in defense against dark arts? I looked at spreadsheet but don’t see much. Also how many books do we need to complete the 7 books in Astronomy? I have 2 books I’ll read in next 2 weeks with celestial bodies in the title.

And I had a thought about transfiguration. I want to read Royally Matched (Royally, #2) by Emma Chase a book featuring a hunky prince. Does anyone have a book with a frog on it? A frog turned into a prince. Would that work?

35559 I didn’t even know which house our team was in. I’m not a HP fan so probably not the best theme for my first TT challenge.

I’ll say no for now about the tournament. I prefer to read what I want and not for a task. I’ll continue trying to find books I want to read and also fulfill requirements for classes etc..

35559 Question. For the charms section, can we do more than one pair for the spells? I see Morgan read a book that can be used for fire. I have 2 books that can be used for fire too. Bonfire by Krysten Ritter and Fire in His Blood (Fireblood Dragon, #1) by Ruby Dixon Both have fire on cover and in title. Should I still read for challenge?

The BRs start and end times are flexible. The main thing for points is interaction. I have read 2 books for BRs but waiting to discuss the book with others before I post the books in the books read thread.

I’ll be finishing the cozy mystery today. It wasn’t a struggle, fortunately. A light, fluffy read.

I wanted to see the movie when it came out. I love Michael Fassbender! But after so many bad reviews, I decided not to see it in the theater. It really is that bad?
