Oh, I loved Final Girls and Last Time I lied. My favorite nominees from the choice awards are Death of Mrs. Westaway and Something in the Water. Of course, there are a few that I didn’t think were great like Lethal White and The Wirch Elm. I guess I should read the few I haven’t read. How many have you read? Last Time I Lied isn’t even on the list!

Ok. I can discuss it when you’ve read the book. I have read the first 8 chapters. It’s good as usual. Lots and lots of reveals! And now I’m worried for the Luidaeg! LOL

Too bad goodreads doesn’t nominate these books for their choice awards. It’s a great series.

35559 I have found some good books browsing the books nominated for goodreads choice awards! And I love getting the monthly newsletter from goodreads too. And, of course, I gotta check out Amazon’s best books of the month every month. My husband always wishes me a happy best book of the month day on the 1st. That’s when Amazon posts their picks. He knows I get so excited! LOL

This year I have read most of the mystery thrillers, except 3.

The best of the best is going to be a toughie!

BTW, I’m ahead of schedule with my books. I didn’t sleep much last night.😞 That’s me bleary eyed. LOL The good news is I’ll be able to sneak another book in now.😇
35559 I’ll be starting tomorrow. That way I’ll finish by Friday. Fortunately, I was able to use this book for wheelathon.

Go ahead and rub it in about your great weather, Sandy and Brooke! LOL

And yikes, Laura! Winter tires already!

I did a lot of task reading for tri wizard challenge during the summer. I feel your pain! Some of the books were terrible! This time I will focus more on getting page points. And read books I want to read. My current books are good.

35559 I am starting now. Company is coming over in a few hours. But I usually get a couple of hours of reading in before sleep every night.

35559 I finished my books for the week yesterday. Usually I start something up right away. It feels weird to have nothing to read!! I can start 4 pm my time. I’ll probably start 2 books tonight, and I should be done Monday night, since they aren’t very long. There are 2 other longer books that will take me a few days! But I do plan to have all books read by Friday.

35559 I have a question too. After we complete our word and get completion points, do we need to complete the word again completely to get more points? Or do we get points for the other letters, even if the word is not complete?

Just a reminder that any books started before the challenge won't count"

I can’t wait! Announcing the teams early has given me too much time to anticipate. I created a shelf with books that are 400 pages or more. I’ll try to choose books from that shelf because it gives us a lot more points. A 350 page book only gives us 20 points. But a 405 page book gives us 40 and it won’t take me much longer to read. That’s my strategy.

I may also participate in Crazy Rich Asians Discussion. I will have to buy, though, because the movie has created a crazy demand for the book at the library!

I’ll be ready to start reading Saturday!!

I heard Oscar buzz for the movie First Man. It was good but not Oscar worthy, in my opinion. Clare Foy was really good in the role of Neil Armstrong’s wife!

35559 Glad everyone had a good weekend! I did see the movie First Man with some friends this weekend. It stars Ryan Gosling, I say at the risk of starting everybody’s heart to fluttering! LOL

It’s a bit chilly here. Those darn Canadian winds! LOL Not a lot of Fall colors yet, which surprises me. I love a colorful Fall.

I’ll be trying to finish up some books this week too, Brooke. Trying to clear my shelves and get ready for the readathon I have planned for the first week of wheelathon. It’s ambitious but I want to start strong!
