35559 You’re starting off strong, Megan! BOM, a long book and a purple cover!

My plan keeps changing. Library books keep coming in. So that’s likely where I’ll start. I’ve got The Lying Room, Singapore Sapphire and The Right Swipe. The last should be good for pink cover.

There are a few more I expect today or tomorrow and next week too!

35559 I am looking forward to the mini challenges. It’s fun and my inner competitor comes out.

LOL No offense intended!

Yes, Girl on the Train was a favorite of mine. The worst books I read last year were award nominated or winners. I guess my taste in books isn’t very high brow. LOL The books were terrible, IMO.

35559 I’m afraid of posting any bad books. I agree it must be part of a devious plot by the mods!

I finished and it was great! There’s always lots of action. I love the dog, Storm. And now the addition of Casey’s sister. That will be interesting! My only problem is I have to wait until February to read the next.

35559 Yes, that is my focus for TT. Have fun! I have stressed out in the past. But this time I will go with the flow. The books I want to start with keep changing because new releases for October interest me. And I have books from the library I won’t be able to start and finish before Monday.

I am reading several books right now for Lava challenge. I have to get them done before Friday. Watcher in the Woods is one of them.

I haven’t read a Stranger in the House. When you are done, let us know if it’s worth a read!

Happy October Linda and Everyone!

I do believe the book goals are calculated weekly and for the team, not individually. Laura or Megan can correct me if I’m wrong.

The book you posted is a tough call! It looks pretty much half pink AND half purple! I know! I’m no help!

35559 OMG! Grey’s has a gazillion episodes. You and your daughter will be bingeing for awhile!

I was addicted to Scandal. I still miss it. I probably should rewatch.

35559 Laura - Love the pics! You definitely had more fun and better weather than I did!

My weekend was a bit dreary and rainy. So hubby and I ended up at the movies. We saw Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. It was a great way to get into the Halloween spirit!

Karen - I am going to try the Night Horde series too!

Sorry! We had really bad storms last night and lost power. Of course, I was freaking out because I hate being without power and The Internet. LOL Yes, I meant to capitalize it!

The Shari Lupena Book was fun. I liked The Couple Next Door the best. I didn’t really like An Unwanted Guest. Her latest is in between. Not sure if you read the other books. But my ratings are sort of up and down for this author. I don’t buy any of her books.

On a positive note, I will be reading Watcher in the Woods soon. I reread the first 2 books in the series and will catch up now. I’m so glad Armstrong did not stop after book 1. Originally, it was going to be a standalone!

Have fun at the festival!

35559 Happy Friday!

Well, I read Someone We Know yesterday. Because I have no patience or mpulse control when it comes to books! LOL It was a quick, entertaining read. That had my head spinning with all the suspects and suspicion.

How are you liking The Friends We Keep, Laura? I don’t want to influence you so I didn’t say much. Sometimes we do disagree with each other on ratings for books.

35559 Laura wrote: "Geri, I think you read it before? ( maybe for wheel? )"

Yes, I did. Unfortunately, it wasn’t my favorite read.

I just got Someone We Know from the library. I will try to fit it in between my Lava books. (Since it doesn’t work for anything) A lot of my goodreads friends say it is good.

I don’t know yet what I am doing this weekend. But definitely post some scarecrow pictures! That sounds like fun. You know it’s Fall when there is a scarecrow festival!

Thanks, Megan, for the bingos. I will check them out now.

35559 I got an email from audible about a romance series on Escape. The covers are pink, green, blue and PURPLE! So I thought I’d share in case you are into contemporary romance and/or have Escape.

35559 So sorry about your toe, Karen! You should be fully recovered in time for Fall colors! That is my favorite time of year to walk.

And very happy for you Linda about your new job! The right one came along when you needed it.

I don’t have KU. But I found quite a few books on Overdrive and Hoopla and Audible Escape. Even found a few that I own. I always check because my personal library is huge and sometimes I forget! 😁 But it’s kind of like Christmas when I find something.

Laura, I am like you, I don’t know what books to start the challenge with! I have a lot bookmarked for the challenge. I have some coming in from the library. And then there are books I want to get off my tbr list! I am finishing The Floor is Lava Challenge. So no time in between that and TT. Literally not 1 day! Unless I try to finish my books early? But of course, I have committed to a lot of books! LOL

Today was a good day for finding purple covers! I know we can read other colors, but I am determined to have 2 or 3 a week to read. 2 are sin bingos! I will take a look at your finds!
