I know what you mean, Megan! I have been reading a string of so so reads. I won’t be able to finish my long book. It was too painful!

At first, it seemed a little too contrived, not very original. But it got better as I read on. It touched on some relevant issues of today. But I won’t say more so I don’t spoil it. The hero was a good guy. A nice change of pace! LOL

This is Leigh Bardugo’s first novel for adults. She usually writes YA Fantasy.

We got some really good reading in! Good job all!

I am so happy today because I just got Leigh Bardugo’s latest from the library. Ninth House. I’ll be finishing a book today. Maybe 2. Then, I will dig in to Bardugo’s book!

If you are talking about Wilder Girls, it was a good book. If you like YA horror. I read it less than 3 months ago. So I couldn’t reread.

LOL He did mange to not yell too much at the tv. So I did read. I’m halfway through book 1.

My husband just reminded me he will be watching football at 3 pm. I’ll be able to start TT on time!

Oops. I thought I was going to read this. But actually I already did. LOL Too many books on my mind! Anyway, I really enjoyed this book!

I think Lapena is mostly a 3 star read for me too. I may try to track the book down at the library.

I’ll be reading this next week. I think there is too much black to be considered purple.

Megan - I love purple too. I buy sweaters and shirts that are deep royal purple. So happy that is our team color!
