I hadn’t heard of Betty Rocker. Her workouts do look intense. And bowling is always fun too!

35559 Morning!

Time really is moving slowly! Two weeks before we can start.

I did more searching for purple books. I realized a lot of cozy mysteries are very colorful in general. Nice reds, blues, greens, yellow and purples. Of course, I have a hard time getting through cozy mysteries. But I think I will read a few for our team.

35559 Linda - A monthly theme for bujo? Now, I will have to read more about it! 😀

Yes, color will probably be the best strategy for bonus points. I am hoping to find that elusive sin bingo at least once during the challenge. Fingers crossed!

When we signed up, we had to write in 2 of our favorite books. I do wonder if that will be part of the challenge? Laura probably knows. And she probably can’t say!

What type of books do you like? I recommended The Bookish Life of Nina Hill. Because it was hilarious and heartwarming.

Enjoy your BBQ!

Wow, Laura, that is great! You were pretty active already. What type of workouts do you like?

I never found out what the fest was about. We got stuck in a traffic jam. But it’s nice to get away. I know you like going to a city. We like exploring small towns.

Hi Alissa!

I had to look up bujo too. It sounds interesting! I’m a planner already. I need things neat and tidy and organized. Bullet journaling might become an obsession. So not sure I should delve deeper!

35559 I’m on a road trip to Ohio. We stopped off at Amish Acres to eat and buy goodies we don’t really need. The desserts and cakes are decadent! There are plenty of buggies on the road right now. Some sort of festival going on.

What are you doing this weekend?

I hope you like the series. It has a romance, mystery, suspense and some real crazies! All the good stuff.

35559 Thanks for all the gorgeous purple books! I will see if I want to read them and if I can get my hands on them. The only one I found is

Undone (Will Trent, #3) by Karin Slaughter

It is tagged Contemporary. But doesn’t fit anything else, so not a bingo. ☹️

I also have some pretty blue books for Sloth that I thought were purple. LOL They aren’t dark fantasy. Darn. But 1 is taking me forever to get to. Too bad we don’t get points for having 2 out of 3 criteria.

Are you liking your current books? I keep meaning to read more by Louise Penny...

I am always searching for new series. I like Brenda Novak’s new Evelyn Talbot books. Her Darkest Nightmare And I read the first Tess Monaghan book. Baltimore Blues At first I was on the fence, but I think I want to continue. And now I want to try Ruth Galloway. The Crossing Places

But lately I have been marathoning my way through my fav author Kelley Armstrong’s series, Rockton. Pretty much all her books would fit nicely into the Lust category! LOL Now, if I can just find Sin Bingo.

35559 Hi Megan, Lin and Brooke!

Yes, the rules are starting to make more sense. I have calculated that I can read 5-7 books a week and be comfortably in my 80-120 percent. If we seem to be on the low side, let me know Laura and Megan, I may be able to squeeze more in!

I am like you, Brooke, a little disappointed mystery/thriller isn’t a genre. That is my favorite. But I have noticed some mystery/thrillers have contemporary as an mpg. So be sure to look anyway!

Megan, I read an author you recommended and really enjoyed it. Boundary Crossed was good. I will continue with the series.

No need to do extra work! You and Megan are going to be doing a lot when the challenge starts!

I decided I better focus on listening to audiobooks that don’t have page counts on goodreads. I don’t want them to count for a measly 100 pages!

35559 Your explanation does make sense, Laura. I’m sure it will make even more sense when we start. Thanks for explaining. It will help me to search my books and hopefully take advantage of the bonus points, especially for shorter books.

35559 So happy to say farewell to TinEye!

I do understand the example, Laura. Except for the end, extra 5 points for sinful pride. I thought Pride’s color was purple.

Yes, I will try to read longer books. That might keep me from going way over my book goal.

I did find 1 book that is purple. Maybe? LOL

35559 Hi Team!

Hi Mandy and Linda! Nice to meet you both! I am looking forward to getting to know you and talking books.

I have played on a team with Laura as captain and Megan as co-captain and it was fun! I like all the chit chat.

I read a lot. But I am actually trying to read less so I have more time for mundane things like sleep and TV. LOL The plan of reading less isn’t working. Mostly I read fiction and listen to audiobooks. At 1.5 or 1.75 speed, so I tear through them pretty quick.

I thought I found 3 books with purple covers. But TinEye says they are blue!☹️ Sometimes I hate TinEye! LOL

Anyway, here is my shelf, Laura https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...

I can’t create links on my iPad, Laura. The quotation marks are different.
