And I hated Little House because I thought the characters were whiny and over moralizing. :D Aren't people funny and different (thank the gods).

We lived in the middle of nowhere and didn't own a TV. Even though the book was a hundred years old, I could somewhat relate to the March children. We wrote letters, I made up stories with my siblings, I walked to my friends' houses to play. I can't imagine kids today being able to relate and that may be why they think it boring.

I finished a reread of
Little Women and I still love it. I do think that people who read this book first as children, have a connection to it that you don't get when reading as an adult. I find this also with
The Lord of the Rings and my beloved
The Chronicles of Narnia. Do I love them because of an emotional connection to the first time I read the books? Who knows, but I have given up recommending people read them. Instead I make sure every child I know has copies so that if they can find the same joy I did, they have access.

@Jessi -- I think we still need a post of your BR evidence links for [book:Fifty Shades of Mr Darcy: A P..."I'm just finishing up my last book for the week and then I will post my explanation and link it here.

Well done. You should be fine now. Those gremlins will stop chasing you."As long as I don't read bad books after midnight.

Mysterious benefactor!

Mysterious benefactor!

Mysterious benefactor it is!

I just finished reading
and it was terrible, just as promised. However I can't find it listed in this thread anymore, so I don't know who to thank for wasting my last two days. :D

How are we doing for numbers this week?

It would be a lot more fun if they'd give us the chance to really work the system. Alright, done with bad books, just going to read long (hopefully good) books for bingo. Sayonara
!

Okay, I'm trying to plan out next week's books, but I need some clarification. The bad books can't be used for regular sins and the bingo books can't be used for regular sins, but can the bad books work for bingo?

Thank you guys for working on this story. They are very clever, good work!

Thanks Alysa, I was going to ask where I need to post my participation? Also I'm working on a post to "explain" Interstellar super explorer, can I just link here to that when I do?

Also, they aren't super clear in the directions. The bad books can't be used for regular sins and the bingo books can't be used for regular sins, but can the bad books work for bingo?

I'm fine with whatever Bingo card you pick. I'll be honest, I think there are too many mini-challenges this round of TT. When you have one basically every week, then the tone of the challenge is changed. I don't remember having more than one a month last time I played. Just read books used to be the point. Now instead I feel like I have to read the longest bad books and search out words in each one. Only my own personal obligation of course, I don't feel any pressure from the team. Just a little annoying.

The crap I read for points....

I have read 3 chapters and I no longer remember a time when I wasn't reading this book. About twelve or three. Time and space no longer apply. I say this with deep meaning. I have no choice of choice. "elbow hammer" ....................and scene.

this definitely was a bad book for mini"I told everyone not to read it. ;)

Finished a reread of
The Land of Painted Caves. Now I admit that this is not one of the better choices in the series, but I don't think it is the worst one (second worst yes). That honour has to go to
The Plains of Passage - 768 pages of Ayla and Jondalar walking and having sex. At least Caves had some other activities between the ridiculously drawn-out descriptions of cave paintings. Granted all those activities posed Ayla as the most Mary-Sue who ever Mary-Sue'd, but I still liked the animals at least. :D
