I've always been a fast reader and competitive. I remember we had a thing called "Canada Reads" back when I was in grade school. You'd read as many books as you could during the month and you could win prizes and chances at big prizes like bikes. I went to a very small school and usually my number of books for the month was equal to the rest of the kids put together. Everyone accused me of cheating. Good times. :D

LaLine, hope you are recovering well. You read a ton of books. These challenges always show that there is someone out there who reads more than you. Helps me feel a little less crazy. ;)
Kari, sorry you aren't enjoying your book. I slogged through a lot of blah books for the points, so I feel your pain. Maybe it will pick up?
We were solid top third in points and 7th most improved team, and considering we started and stayed down one player, a pretty good round for us. Bravo Ravens.
I'm going to go read something just because, or maybe I'll just go to sleep.

1. What did you think of the preceding books? (i.e. Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, Fairest) I love the humor that is woven into these stories. I especially enjoy Iko's character. Excerpt from chapter 11: "I would love to give you a good-bye kiss, Captain, but that lingering embrace from His Majesty may have fried a few wires, and I'm afraid a kiss from you would melt my central processor." Do you have any favorite characters from The Lunar Chronicles?
I liked Cinder, Scarlet and Cress. I didn't read Fairest, in fact I never even heard of it until now. It must be a 0.5 book because I've read 1,2,3 and now 4. I rarely bother with those mid-point novellas. If the author can't tell the story in the book, then write another book, not a money grab. I don't have any favourites, though I'm not particularly fond of Jacin (partly because his name isn't spelled Jason) or Wolf and I'm not sold on Winter yet (see next question)).
2. What are your thoughts on Winter's character so far?
I am torn on Winter, but I think dislike is winning out so far, not because of the character but because of the writer. These are 15, 16, 17 year old girls and I realize that YA fantasy writing generally has the teenagers acting like adults, but they are still children to me. Winter especially and her "craziness" makes her seem even younger and more in need of protection. And making her so beautiful and having men (including Jacin) lusting after her makes me cringe a bit. I wish she wasn't so fragile seeming and I very much hope she can get better by the end of the book. That said, she is also sometimes exceedingly hilarious.
3. We've been introduced to many relationships throughout the series: Cinder and Kai, Scarlet and Wolf, Cress and Thorne and now Winter and Jacin. Do you have a favorite couple?
Nope, not in it for the romance, that could all go away as far as I am concerned.
4. In chapter 13 we see a sweet moment between Winter and some local children. They create a crown made of flowers for the princess. Jacin reacts with anger and snatches the crown from Winter's head while yelling at the children. Why do you think he acts this way?
Using the Snow White mythos, I assume he is trying to protect her from being too popular, so Levana doesn't decide to get rid of her competition.
5. Kai is back in the Commonwealth and plans to proceed with the alliance he previously made with Queen Levana. He convinces Levana to hold the wedding on Luna. What do you think Kai and the rest of the Rampion crew have up their sleeves?
They need a Lunar rebellion and uprising to dethrone Levana and crown Cinder. You can't have a Lunar rebellion if you aren't on Luna.

Sounds good to me Sarah-jane. One less book to enter into goalless. :D

Kell stopped talking and looked at her. "What is wrong with you?" he asked, sounding honestly baffled.
And that sums up my thoughts on
