35559 also cal and niko's conversation about 'post coital intimacy' absolutely kills me
35559 I just started a bit ago and i'm in chapter 4 right now. the puck reunion just sounds AWFUL lmao. like you could not pay me enough. and of course they're all trying to get a piece of niko.

there's a lot going on in this one again but i like it and think it works well together. grimm, kalakos, and the panic are all around the central theme of family so i think it's interesting to look at what are the main characters' 'real' family and then the family they have chosen in each other.

this one might be my favorite one. either this one or the next one ...although that one has niko pov again so ...hmmm lol

35559 i'm doing an audiobook now that has an I in it and am going to do another one after that. if anyone else needs some I recommendations the incryptid series by seanan mcguire is good and the mage tales and dark fae decree series by ilana waters are interesting and also fairly short as well.

35559 i actually just rechecked and one of my ARCs does have it so that's good. i somehow thought our genre was suspense instead of thriller for a few days there, i must have been out of it lol
Jul 05, 2019 10:14AM

35559 unfortunately except for the how to survive a horror movie book i don't think i will be much help with genre this week. i've got two arcs i have to do and a non fiction that works for 3 letters so i want to get that in - it's so hard to read non fiction during wheel and tower teams - and then the other book i am doing for a tricky word also doesn't have it. i might be able to squeeze one in towards the end of the week if we need it but we'll see what happens

35559 ah crap, i already read it lol. but if they decide that black flower works then someone else could read

Because You Love to Hate Me 13 Tales of Villainy by Amerie
Jul 04, 2019 08:32AM

35559 i've been looking around for black dahlia books but all i can find are the obvious ones that are about the actual murder which i am in no way interested in reading and also a bunch of erotica books which ...same lol

are there any other ones we can use cover substitutions for? like can black widow have a spider or black dahlia a black flower? bc i think i might have a book w/ a black flower on it ...pretty sure it's a rose not a dahlia but if they decide they're not gonna be that picky ...

35559 i think the 'attractive white woman' one is actually the one that would count, despite the act that it has nothing at all to do with the woman in white legend lol
