well you also get points based on the page length in addition to the points for fulfilling a task so doing the 600+ page books would definitely be worth it, although i guess it would be best if you found a long book that could also work for cover color or genre points

and for the options in your example you would pick a book that has EITHER Pink cover [5 pt] OR Historical Romance genre [3 pt] OR is 600+ pages etc [1 pt]. Or if you are lucky enough to find one with all three then that is a sin bingo [7 pt], but it only needs one category covered to be able to count

yeah i knew it was going to be a bit of a difference but wasn't expecting that much! thought it would be like sometime in the middle of the night instead of the afternoon

do you guys know what you want to try next? i know that continuing incryptid or starting dresden were both options we had thrown out before, although i'm open to other options too

yeah i have a lot of series like that so i get what you mean. like from what i'm seeing of both of your reactions you think it's interesting and it does some cool stuff with the mythology / isn't just a paint by numbers urban fantasy thing, but also you guys really don't like amy and i get that she's a huge part of the series so if you can get at least temporarily on board with the whole ~too good for this world. too pure~ thing then it's probably really hard to fully enjoy it lol. i thought she did come out of her shell a bit in this one but also it still makes me want to shake her whenever she literally can't kill things that are attacking them, although maybe i shouldn't be so quick to jump to violence as a solution when i am reading ;)

does the 'round' for this end every monday at the same time and we need to make sure we are in range of books for that week or is it just going to be if we are overall in the right range at the end of the challenge or month or whatever?

if you've got a short one that will work with sophie's H then maybe start that, but i should be good with both of mine

i was about to come over and see if you guys had finished since i couldn't remember lol. i was hoping that this series would pick up for you guys once we got to this point but i guess 3 stars still means you're enjoying it well enough?

ah you're right! ok i just took the first two books off the chain then since i already deleted my planning file off my computer. hopefully we won't need it anyway but we've still got a decent chain

ok i've filled in our regeneration ladder just in case but two of the books aren't finished yet so i'll try to remember to transfer the read date to the right tab but the books are outfox [sophie] and the institute [christine] so if you guys think about it when you are marking them read then do it on the regen tab as well

i'll probably finish both of mine today, so if anyone is struggling with one of theirs let me know and i can try to find something short. i was thinking if we needed it i might try to do one in the 14 hours that lava and towers overlap so i can count it for both lol

i took off my O book after realizing that it was longer than i realized and picked up an A book instead so now our letters that are left are A O and N

does tower teams start as soon as lava is over or is there a gap of several hours? i didn't see a countdown til the start of tower teams yet ...

i think she moved it because someone else said they could do the Y, but i've just moved it back so we have 2 A's and an N that still need to be claimed. i have ...four i think on there right now that i need to finish - hoping to get through 2 of them today - and MAY be able to do another one depending on how the weekend goes.

i figured i would probably start reading the next one on monday when tower teams starts

i think christine claimed the last one. looks like we've got mostly A's and N's left

haha usually the only way i will end up reading something i don't actually want to for a challenge is if it is very short [like close to the 100 page limit] or else i am listening to it on audio and it's just easier to finish it than try to find another audio book that fits

that makes me feel better that the sin bingo is just 2 extra points and not the extra points on top of the task points, because finding bingo books is hard

haha yeah i think you are right
