new mini challenge for next week:https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
i haven't looked at all the tasks - it's a long list lol - but looks interesting

i know this probably makes me sound SUPER creepy but i wish someone would just hand me a job driving around dead bodies and assisting with autopsies without having to do any kind of training whatsoever lol in my defense, my boss never stops talking and corpses are so quiet -_-;
i think that should count as long as he's sarcastically suggesting they take an actual bird [aka 'the moorhen' isn't someone's weird nickname lol]

not sure what is causing your weird pink box, but i think geese should be ok since it is just the plural of goose and plurals are generally ok. turtle and tortoise are technically two different animals i think so probably not on that, but the captains will be the ones who know for sure
Spirit Hunters by Ellen Oh
Date: 10/25
Pages: 288
Word Count: 49562 via arbookfind
Sin: Wrath
Criteria: 53.0 %Cowboy (Brown) according to tineye
can also be used for easy animal: dog
"She started down the street, screeching to a halt as a small white dog stopped in front of her, barking furiously."
yeah it wasn't working both on my laptop at home and my desktop at work so i figured it was something on their end, although i know people could sometimes use it on their phones
hmm, working for me now as well and it's saying my cover is brown. woo lol. it also works for dog, not sure if we've already covered that one

@Trinia it's not a buddy read for points it's just me and two other people who usually do a buddy read here for a different book every week. but i agree that it was great last year when we got points for them lol

i asked my team captains if there was any way they could tell the mods in the captain group to check the buddy read request thread lol. i'd really like to get this one in before this week of towers ends :(
i will probably end up at 7 or possibly 8 [i'm signed up for 7.5]. i think you guys are probably good to go over your limit though since we have some wiggle room and we can always take off our lowest scoring books if we need to.also @captains idk how the captains group works exactly but if there is some place you could nicely ask the mods to check the buddy read request thread i'd really appreciate it. i know they're probably all super busy but i requested a thread on monday i think and it's a book i'm really wanting to start lol
The Library of the Unwritten by A.J. Hackwith
Date: 10/24
Pages: 384
Easy animal: Crocodile
"He studied the glimmering sheen of the platforms, the whiteness of the feather, and the shadowy hollow of the crocodile’s jaws beyond."
alternately can be used for Sin: Envy [Young Adult on first page of tags, used 5 times]
tineye doesn't seem to be working for me either. i would call it blue but maybe we can just leave the space blank on the spreadsheet until tineye is up again and we can check

haha yeah the whole time you guys were like 'ugh why is amy like this' and i was sitting here like 'well because she's hoenir basically' but of course i couldn't say thatagree that beatrice was kind of weird in this book, mostly just with how she kept trying to get amy together with nari because i feel like that was so OOC of her i was just like ??? why ??? i mean even if we're gonna get past the whole 'she totally had sex with his dad and that is WEIRD' thing ...it just makes no sense really
and yeah steve is not my absolute favorite but he does have his moments so i appreciate that.
hopefully white trash zombie will be more your speed. i asked again today for the thread so hopefully it will be up soon.
