Their Fractured Light works for 22, now that I think about it. It's all about half-truths and misdirection.

Never mind. I forgot this one was already used for a task.

35559 I think a first name is good enough for proper name, so a last name should work, too.

35559 If we have others, that’s great!

35559 My book, Pucking Around, has over 10,000 ratings and no awards. Finished yesterday. It is 600+ pages, so we’ll need another one in that page range.

Just be aware that it is a Reverse Harem series. And there should be a trigger warning (I can't remember if there is one) for past abuse.

35559 I've got Blaze of Wrath, series Phoenix Rising. And it fits the last task for Amazing Race!

But I'm still working on my audio for Ten, so if someone else has something, go for it. My dad came for a visit this weekend, so that's affected my reading.

35559 I have this edition of Tempt the Stars (Cassandra Palmer, #6) by Karen Chance , and I think that earring qualifies as bling, right?

That's why teams need a diverse group of people. I don't care for reading the BOMs, even though I know it gets us more points. But I love finding books that I want to read to fit obscure tasks! You reading a BOM nets us just as many (if not more) extra points as me reading a book for a task. :)

These 2 are still available, and we have 2 more new tasks:

17 - Top 10 Books 2013 - Read book from the GR "Best of 2013" list (see https://www.goodReads.com/list/best_by_date)
18 - Ten Tallest Towers 3 -Shanghai Tower - Read a book set in, or by an author from China

35559 Lory,

That should work. Earlier today Under Locke by Mariana Zapata was rejected because of the light. Yours doesn’t have any pesky colors!

(And I apologize in advance for any possible future typos. My autocorrect tried to change your name to Lordy!)

35559 Hey Team Ti! I don't how many of you are checking the challenge status spreadsheet, but the captains of all teams are making sure to have the official spreadsheets updated at least once every 2 weeks. So with all spreadsheets updated yesterday, we are in 2nd place! Keep up the great reading!

35559 That one looks brown to me.

35559 I would say:

Springwater Wedding - Lavender, so light/bright purple

50 Ways to Ruin a Rake - looks yellow to me. But I'm notoriously easy on color cover tasks!

Persuing Miss Hall - I don't think there's enough of any one color to use for Rainbow

A Love By Design - I think I would actually call that a light Orange. Which is why we don't use the online color extractors. Tineye called this one Pink!

Three To Get Deadly - Looks good for Yellow

Full House - Also looks good for Yellow

I retyped RT91 and now it's there. Possibly you hit a space either before or after the numbers and that messed it up. Or possibly there's just a gremlin in the spreadsheet messing with us. :)

Looks like I've got a couple already checked out in KU that work for that task. If no one else grabs that task, I'll plan to get to it in the first few days.

I've already claimed the mobility task, but that one should only take me a few hours. Then I can do this one after.

The answer from the mods is that we can use any color from the drop down box in the rainbow. So a rainbow could include teal, bright blue, and dark blue!

35559 I'm reading a series right now with a character who is a double amputee, both from the knee down. I need to finish a few more of them for this round of Turf Wars, but I'll be able to save at least one of the books for June.

I've also got a couple of books with Ten in the title. Which is good because it seems like we might get a few more of those!

35559 I've only got one X title on my shelves, and I'm not willing to re-read Xenocide. Not a bad book, just a bit slow.

Solve for X - Read a book with author initials in SOLVE FOR X

X-Men - Read a book with the word Storm in the title

X-Men - Read a book with a character who has a mobility impairment (e.g. in a wheelchair, has a prosthesis, has arthritis)

Film 10s - Ten North Frederick - Read a book that shares a title word

X marks the spot - Read a book with bling on the cover - something treasure-worthy

X-Rays - Read a book that gets under the skin of something (be creative - a psychological thriller, a non-fiction investigation)

10 Things the Chipmunks Love - Defenestration! - Read a book you can connect to defenestration somehow (find it in the text, set in Prague etc)

Edgar Award Winners: https://edgarawards.com/all-winners/
Defenestration - Throwing someone out a window
