I just finished my Philosopher book for Greece. Now to finish the Greek author book. If anyone has an E for the spell-out there, feel free to replace my book. I'm reading it anyway and can always find another place for it. Otherwise, I should be able to finish both of them by Sunday morning-ish.

I read that my Senior year in High School. It is not one I remember fondly.

Aiswrya wrote: "Perfect, I'll use this book. Does it fit any of our other tasks, so I can maximize on points?"Melissa's notes in the "Other tasks" column indicate it works for an I spell-out. Bernadette's I book has a E author, so that could be swapped within the ARGENTINA spell-out.

I read a Y narrator. It’s noted in the Other Tasks column.
Priya wrote: "I don't seem to have access to the spreadsheet at present but I will add the books I have finished on Jun 4th and today to my shelf."You need to request access. Make sure are requesting access to the planning spreadsheet. Only the captains are given access by the mods to the official spreadsheet. The planning spreadsheet is linked in Post #4 in this thread, but here is the link anyway.

I am. One of my Greece books has an X character. It’s slow as molasses, but I’m pushing through. I hope to have it done today.

New task.
Read a book with a countryside scene on the cover
Aiswrya wrote: "Laura, you may have a typo for the task number for City of Ruin. Can you take a look please?"Yes, typo. I meant to put it in for the A. But since you already filled the A, I'll change it to the R. It's got an R MC also.
Aiswrya wrote: "New task:
Read a book set in the time period "Contemporary / Modern History"
ETA: shall confirm the time period shortly. Checking with the other caps."I just finished one that works for this. Published/set 2024.

Jacqueline, none of those books are assigned to tasks. So if we end up replacing them it would be with books we want to read ourselves.
That being said, if there is something on her list you want to read there is no reason you can’t read it.

Cat, there are unread books on the spreadsheet. That’s what Jacqueline was asking about.

I almost forgot to post our new task.
Read a book with a cityscape on the cover
Aiswrya wrote: "Team, looks like Robin has dropped out of the challenge. So, we need to fill a void of 60 BPM. I know some of us would like to increase our commitment. Can you please drop a comment with any update..."I'll increase from 30 to 35.

We had everything need for this cheese except the X. Are there any X characters that anyone remembers? Or do I need to knuckle down and finish The Children of Men?
It's just so slow. I'm really struggling to figure out how this could be made into a movie because nothing is happening.

In the Percy Jackson books Grover's last name is Underwood according to the book details. That takes care of the last U!
Jacqueline wrote: "@ I finishedThe Sea of Monsters this morning...can you use it?"We can use it for current tasks.
Jacqueline wrote: "@ Laura would definitely fit! I totally did not know who she was until I read the book....by the way she attended a few musicals and a pretty good dancer."We can't used banked books for the countries. You finished that one before got those tasks, so we can't use it for Argentina. But I'll use it for the task.

I have an X character in Children of Men.

New task!
Read a book from a new-to-you authorMy current audio works for me for this task. I should be finished in the morning. But if anyone else has one that works for it, go for it.
Books that do not yet have a task that might work if it's a new-to-you author:
Rachel - Cold Eternity
Jacqueline - Obviously
Robin - Jinglebell Jane
Or anything else you might be currently reading?
