It has to be 50%. But Google AI says New Zealand is not considered part of the Australian continent. Although I do take AI answers with a grain of salt.

Read a book with an unearthly mode of transportation on the cover (i.e., spaceships allowed)

Read a book tagged "Friendship" at least 10x
The book I'm reading for the European setting task is tagged Friendship 63 times. I think Tara was also reading one that worked for the European task, so we could put her's in there.
Alternatively, Binding 13 is tagged Friendship 14 times. I didn't check anyone else's books.

Looks like she did figure it out.

Countdown: https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown...
And a note on the Carnaval task for Brazil. Because I thought it sounded nearly impossible so I went asking the other captain's what their teams had read for the task. The one book I got back is License to Bite. And some clarification. This is a mish-mash of comments in the captains' group.
So any big pre-Lent celebration along those same lines works. Mardi Gras would be acceptable, I probably should of listed both. We took the view that Mardi Gras was the last day of the Carnival celebrations so it would count. Venice is a good bet too.
City of Masks by Hoffman, iirc, has some. And isn't there a Fat Tuesday celebration in Witches Abroad?
And I'm pretty sure I remember that there is actual Mardi Gras partying in My Best Friend's Mardi Gras Wedding.

Thanks!

Also, you put 304 pages on the spreadsheet, but the edition you shelved is 289 pages. We'll need to use the 289 unless you shelved an incorrect edition.

No worries. We got the road trip covered. I know there are quests in each book; I was asking specifically about the road trip portion of it. Like the bus ride in the first book.

Read a book with MPG Non-Fiction
Read a book with a famous landmark on the cover"
The Scandalous Hamiltons is MPG non-fiction. It is currently in the EAGLE letters in title task. But I think there was also a non-fiction in the USA spell-out.
ETA: Yes, we currently have non-fiction in the M spot and E spot. I'll move the M one to the NF task.

Sorry for the ruckus!"
No worries. I have kids who have decided to go by different names than their birth names, so I have become sensitive to calling people by their preferred names. But if you prefer Sam we'll just leave the drop down box as is.
And it didn't help that we were both on the spreadsheet mucking around with the books at the same time!

@Sam - Also, I noticed that you have put your name on the spreadsheet as 'Samia'. What the mods put down for your name, from the sign-up form, is 'Sam'. Do you prefer Samia? We can change it if that is the case.

Please put all your read books since your start date on the spreadsheet. Books should be placed on the BOOKS tab. This is where we get the points per page and is the most points for each book. If you do nothing else, please put your books here!
Once your book is on the spreadsheet, then you can select a task that it fits. On all the task tabs there is a REF column/code in column A. You get the code for the task from that column, and then go back to the BOOKS tab. In column N (Mini Ref) of the row for your book, put the Ref code. Then in column M (Reason) you can put how your book fits the task. There are some magical formulas at work on the spreadsheet and they will automatically grab your book info and copy it over to the tab/task that you selected!
Most importantly, please remember to put ALL of your books on the BOOKS tab! That really is where we get the most points!

Read a book with the word sky, cloud, sun, moon or star in the title (Plurals are acceptable)
New Country: BRAZIL

Perfect. I'll get us a new task while I'm waiting for another captain to spin for us.
