🎨 3 all-time favourite books or series you'd recommend
- The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison
I love, love, love this book and since it's publication I re-read it every year and never get tired of it. The audiobook rendition is also fantastic and it has -ta-daaaa!- U characters. 🤭
- The City Watch subseries from Discworld by Terry Pratchett
- The Lymond Chronicles by Dorothy Dunnett
This is a fairly new obsession, as until 2022 I hadn't even known the author existed, but since then I've become a hardcore fan of
her challenging, erudite and emotionally crushing historical fiction books.

🥽 2 books you loved/liked the most from your 2024 reads
Tall order, but let's go with
- To Say Nothing of the Dog by Connie Willis
and
- Masters of the Air: America's Bomber Boys Who Fought the Air War Against Nazi Germany by Donald L. Miller
🖌️ A book you are looking forward to reading
- one of my U-books: The Unicorn Hunt by Dorothy Dunnett

Thanks, Karen. You have just reminded me that while I have read and loved Joanthan Strange and Mr Norrell, I have bought the audiobook and haven't listened to it yet. And the Raven King is a U-character!!! John Uskglass. 😅

Sooo, 2 days, 12 hours and 56 minutes till the challenge starts, but who's counting? 🤭
In the meantime, I am hellbent on bloating my own TBR-shelf even further and pose some questions to you while we are waiting for the countdown to be over.

for the time being, if the reason is CFN/CLN, just choose it from the drop-down list and please list the actual name in the alternatives column. :)

My fav..."
Hello Audrey, happy to have you with us. 🥰
Hereby Team Int(f)erior Painting is complete. 🥳

Oboe comes right after clarinet on the favourite instruments list.
I used to sing in choirs. We had a small choir at my current workplace and we were allowed to practiced once a week in one of the meeting rooms during lunchbreaks. It was for fun as it helped us so much to break out of the mold for 60 precious minutes, but covid put a stop to it. I'm still missing it. 😪
My son has started learning to play the piano last year and he also decided to join his school choir (without any forcing on our side!) and I'm really happy about that. 😊

Thank you for your assistance"
That's what we are here for. 😊

Correct. 😊

Captain Sophie is adding the final touches to our team tracking sheet and will share the link as soon as it is ready. :)
The "plan" is to add your books to unclaimed letters on the tracking sheet and list possible alternatives in case we need to play tetris later on. :)
We will also need to fix the page count for your U-book, as currently it hasn't any assigned to it properly.
It also doesn't seem to have any right page count on Amazon, but I found one on Google books, listing it as 1078 pages.

The wheel went for our jugular right away with the double Us. 😅
And now I will be able to go on with my historical fiction series, The House of Niccolo by Dorothy Dunnett, as the next book in the series is The Unicorn Hunt. While it was 1st published in 1993, it's over 600 pages, so some extra points will be incoming anyway.😊
I'm also planning on reading Herbert Von Karajan: A Life in Music with an O-author and 800+ pages, but that will be a slower process as there is no audiobook version and I'm always a bit slower with physical/e-books. I will finish by the end of the round, though.

But I'm sure something will turn up for the 500-650 page count. :)

While I don't play any instruments, I love classical music and the clarinet is my favourite instrument. I have a collection of CDs/Vinyl records with Baroque/Classical clarinet pieces. ♡

Moving houses.... while exciting, it can definitely be exhausting! Hope you'll be able to sort out soon everything to your satisfaction and to enjoy your new home.
