It doesn't really matter where we use my books, I was just offering it up since it had a bunch of tags. We can wait until the rest of the spots fill in and see which tags might still be missing and decide then. It might fit better in one of the new monsters. ;)
I finished my big book. Charybidis is finished! I did manage to get both of the BOMs from the library so I'm going to give them a shot. Neither of them are really my cuppa though, so it might be rough going. ;)

No "read a book with a sheep, a perso..."Some of those tags are a little wonky, but yes, NO sheep! I guess I'm more worried about the organization of who's reading what book for which challenge with which tag/task to be finished when.
I'll have my 800 pager done by this weekend. I added it to the SS, but i'm on my phone, so I'll have to do the link later. I don't mind a long book, but I don't get them done as quickly as sometimes feels like is needed in these situations. I definitely want to finish this one before that crazy battleship challenge starts!
If there's anyone (besides me) that hasn't read A Game of Thrones it works for all 5 of the Minotaur tasks. I can switch to that, but I'm also about 1/3 of the way through a book that works for tasks 1/3/5 of Charybidis. Sooooo many big books......
Nanci wrote: "Trojan Warships is going to be crazy along with monsters! I have a hard time focusing on too many at the same time!"Right?? And some of those tags -- yikes.
Well, I overestimated my ability to drink wine and finish my book at the same last night so only finished Imperfect Saint this morning -- I'll go change my dates -- BUT in the last 2 chapters of the book, my MC got a dog. I think that will count for our task, correct?

Melissa wrote: "I hope he eats a fig along the way..."I think he's more likely to than my zombie apocalypse survivors....
Melissa wrote: "Here it is!! No sheep!Harpies
Groups of Harpies have been spotted on your lands, ruining outdoor feasts at every opportunity. Easy to defeat with the motivation to chase them far enough away, ..."
OOH! Harpies is one that has a book that works for all 5 tasks....
Of Dragons, Feasts and Murders -- I can read it as my 800 pager is audio. Unless anyone else is feeling adventurous. :)
Good grief. Another doorstopper.... I'm only about 300p. into The Stand -- I was hoping to have more time before it was needed. :) ETA: I've found one that will work for 3 of the tasks above -- I'll check on fig when I get home. We cannot use middle name for the letters in POOL task, correct? I think if we switch Kit's 500p book with Melissa's we can finish off our other Polyphemus, correct?
So from my snooping.... there's not a lot out there with sheep/people and farmers that the other teams have found. But if anyone has Scribd, there are 2 options: Animal Camp: Lessons in Love and Hope from Rescued Farm Animals (200ish pages)
Tales From the Farm by the Yorkshire Shepherdess (100ish pages)
(I have had 2 unfortunate run-ins with Scribd and password issues, so I can't do it.)
I also found a couple of books that cover all 5 tasks for a few of the monsters in case we get them again.
Mary C wrote: "So it looks like we still another "sheep with people" cover book?"I'm going to stalk some other teams tonight and see if I can find an option to knock out the sheep and the farmer together. ;)
Melissa wrote: "Stacey wrote: "Do we have a way of separating the books on the spreadsheet that have been used for monsters and those still available?"I worked with the spreadsheet to at least cross off the ones..."
That sounds good. I was also trying to look at the sheets on my phone which makes everything a little more challenging. :)
Maddy wrote: "Found 2 :D Might even manage to read them although christian fiction is not my cup of tea

they are in scribd audioboo..."
They are both on KU as well. Does being a sheep rancher count as being a farmer?
I can probably get to one of them at the end of the week if no one finds anything else before then.
Do we have a way of separating the books on the spreadsheet that have been used for monsters and those still available?
I'm going to start working my way through The Stand tomorrow. It will probably take me a while, but I figure I can be ready if we get another 800+ book. :) @Eni -- please let me know what you think of Swan Song as it has been on my list forever and I haven't been able to get myself to commit to it.
@Kit -- I have the Zodiac Academy books on my list, but the reviews make me nervous -- it seems like you like it though?
