35559 found one "soul-sucking" in my kindle books - in Hana Khan Carries On by Uzma Jalaluddin which is very good, but I read recently, so not ready for a reread

ETA: might be worth asking other teams what they've used?

35559 I am the same! and was shocked to read a Tchaikovsky book with no mini-beasts featured! Ok, yes, there was the wasp god thing, but that was so minor!

but it's so hard!

I've finished A Civil Campaign, which is an ending of sorts, so can probably not have to scratch that itch for a couple of weeks....

35559 I'm out of the basement!

First book done!

The Old Ways A Journey On Foot by Robert Macfarlane
meditative strangeness that I enjoyed. Hard to describe what exactly the book is - not a travelogue detailing each walk, nor a history, nor memoir or biography, but bits of all of that together.
