35559 oh! and, LaurLa, what was Assistant to the Villain like? sounds fun.... I read Hench a while back which was all sorts of fun, involving weaponised admin skillz!

and Natasha - Last Murder at the End of the World?? thoughts? you recommend it?

35559 in other news, we've made our first supply drop to District 5: Sandy's Love Notes & Lifelines, as we shuffled about to give them maximum options.

Basically, as we finish books that we can't shuffle into the mini, we'll assess their use to the other team.

We've decided to ask them to give us resource pile protection, so we don't get free resource points, but do get the protection benefit, whatever that transpires to mean!

Fingers crossed they reciprocate :)

We'd quite like reciprocation! :) (probably just for protection, so books with defense plus another resource reason, or two defense reasons would be ace!)

as for the purpose, it's up to your strategy.

If it helps.... the one we've just dropped was finished on 1 Jun, so it works for the mini if you wanted (so you fill a task with this book, you get the task points but not resource points)

Alternatively you can use it for bonus points in one of your resource piles (free points!)

Finally, you can use it to protect one of your piles (nope, not telling what from) by using a defense reason PLUS another reason for the pile you want to protect (so if you want to protect defense pile you need two defense reasons) you don't get the page points for this either.

Possibilities for the drop:

Bonus points (46) / protection reasons
Food: it has corn on p99
Defense: Becker defends Stella when she's attacked, plus it's a blue cover
Weapon: STONE in title
Shelter: SAFE in title

Mini Tasks
Corn in text (p99)
LIFE hidden in LIFELINES

35559 no worries Ashlee! school is more important!

sorry that all your picks have been a drain :( hopefully your next will be better!

For mini, we are scant on author initials in HERACLES and also letters CORNUPIA found in title and/or subtitle

35559 @Christine: awesome! I wasn't loving that task, definitely worth the 5points hardness level!

@Pat hope the mayhem calms soon! We need your reading, forget about the kids who need to be sucked into reading.... Errr. No, strike that! Getting kids reading ftw!
You got a fun program theme this year?

35559 I quite enjoyed it. it's not action-packed, but I enjoyed the people-pleasing of Pender, generating all sorts of waffle to keep Andy happy. it's much more about the ridiculousness of the late century spy business than actually saving a double agent from the Commies though the armed border

35559

We are going so well with our mini tasks!

We've already completed all the "word hidden in a word" tasks, and have got many of the others claimed.

Areas of concern for the moment:
- set in Crete
- set in Idaho
- 3 items of edible food on cover

@Christine, can you add Machu Picchu to your challenge shelf please? :D

35559 sitting on it, Vicki, ready to leap ahead gloriously!

And E, you can do it! (though dammit, why no TBR clearing tasks in the Book Games mini?!)
