Finished a Haiti author book

Fair. But I guess also that someone without direct experience might find it easier to write (assuming appropriate research with those directly affected)? And more stories helps reduce the stigma for actual trafficked people to write about their experience?

I dunno... Just throwing out a thought, but it's predicated on how distant she is from the people she's writing about, and if her book is shutting out other people's books (thinking about Dirt Music, where a white American's version of Mexicans crossing the border got more air time than those of Mexican authors with that authentic experience)
