35559 Can't believe I missed out on voting for Hiddleston! Was out at office party last night.

This round I've no really skin in the game, but knee jerk for the bad guy!

would your book Falling for His Practical Wife kind of fit the "cheesy" category?

If yes, we could finish off Zachary Smith. :)"

35559 Single & Single by John le Carré
unless the line's moved, this should put me over the top!

early mention of Take That initially sent me for a spin - was this going to be soundtracked by jaunty 90s boyband music?! thankfully not, it rapidly returned to the dour le Carre we know and love!

ETA: grrrrrrr! line is 38.9%. I'm now at 38.3% gah! I hates that line!

Love it! And we have another water source defense too, so won't even be like the poor beluga in S Korean shopping centre - animal welfare is important to the livestock district!

35559 I got another cleared off! I can almost touch that line! annnndddd I'm currently reading not one but TWO more books from the closet! I will show that line who's boss!

Book finished: The Tower slightly jumbled story line, a bit of a mess, not gripping
May 20, 2024 03:50AM

35559 not read that one. and 600 pages seems like a LOT of le Carre to get through! he's not your most upbeat of authors, is he?
May 20, 2024 03:42AM

35559 reading a le Carre..... up to now my reading experiences with him have been of the Smiley novels, in grimy post-war times. (watching The Night Manager doesn't count!)
So it's a bit of a shock to have reference to Take That in this one! original era, too. their jaunty 90s pop is not my expected musical background to a spy book!

Just popping by to say how excited we are for the supply drops. At the moment we are minded to wait until the mini is released before making polite requests, but if you have a requirement now let us know and we'll see what we can do!

35559 I. Am. Spartacus!

Gerard gets my vote.

Fun fact: he's been filming around a friend's home. She's more incensed that her neighbourhood is being used as post apocalyptic world than excited for a Butler spot!
