35559 Maddy, hahaha my sisters's always asking me that hahaha, she's a master in geophysics student, very clever, but writting isn't her skill =P

Brittany, my thesis is about permeability studies on polymer nanocomposites, the idea is to produce materials less permeable to oxigen and water vapor, so they can be used for food packaging, and to preserve food better.

35559 Don't worry Brittany, and 700 pages is a lot.

I won't be finishing a book until next week, because I'm working on my thesis and it must be finished this month, so I read one book per week tops.
I only hope to finish my thesis soon, it has become really depressing working on it, it's been a year of work with a lot of problems at the laboratory and all I want is for it to be over and do whatever a want (mostly read hahaha)

35559 Buffon is mixed breed haha, he was found near my university back in 2014, we think one of it parents was something like a great dane, due to it's size, what we know almost for sure is that the other parent was a shar pei, every vet agree on that.

And yes! My favorite doctor is the 10th, But I love 11th as well =P

And sorry, guys, I do not participate in BOM...It rarely includes books I might actually like and I just hate to be told what to read...
And as I underst..."

Yes we start on 4th may, don't worry about the BOMs.
About the page count, I found this on the Q&A:
Q: For page counts, do we use the most popular edition on GR or the edition that we actually read?
A: Edition you've read. Default edition will be used for audiobooks and large print editions

35559 I posted inthe first page two reminders:
Points system
May's BOM threads

I'm not sure if I can explain this well, if Stephanie can clarify, it'd be great =)
But we need one person to participate in BOM discussion for each book (A Gentleman in Moscow, Strange the Dreamer and The Circle). So if anyone wants to participate in any of the BOM's thread, let us know =)
I personally prefer not to, because it's really difficult to me to find those books here in my country and I'm significantly slower reading in english than in spanish.

35559 I'm a Ravenclaw :).
in Chile I participate in a community called Hogwarts Chile, we have meetings once every month and enjoy our love for the saga, we're separated in the four houses and compete against each other for house cup, the competitions are often about knowing stuff from the series, other times they're sporty competitions :P it's really nerdy hahaha
Apr 23, 2017 08:34PM

35559 Nice to meet you all =)

I'm loving that we're potterheads ahaha, I started the series back in 2001 when I was 11 y-o before the first movie came out (my mom forced me to read HP1) and I've been an obsessive fan ever since =P, I know almost everything about the Potterverse (including Pottermore and Fantastic beasts)
My favorite book from Harry Potter is Half-Blood Prince, but the movie is awful! They forgot so many important details!

I sent friend request to all of you, btw
