I had had two nooks and one kindle, my first nook still works pretty well (Simple Touch) and my mother and brother use it, the battery doesn't last too much, but it works.
My nook Glowlight lasted like a year and it went crazy changing the pages, like the buttons sticked hahaha, it can be used but it's a little annoying when it decides to change the pages (nonstop). I'm pretty sure this one lasted less because it fell a couple too many times hahaha.

The one I use is my Kindle Papperwhite, I think it may be 2 years old, and the battery lasts a week sometimes xD but it's good.

I suppose that if you use it all the time, it's likely it would last less time than expected, but it's a shame it lasted only 8 months Cathy
