35559 Oh ok, well this book probably wouldn't work for that name then, in the situation where I saw the name the woman bearing it was a guest at a party.

Would you maybe have any book suggestions for the name Hortense then?

Thanks Jennifer! I had one more question for you? In the book I'm reading right now,

I found the name Hortense but it's not really a main character or anything would it still count or does the name used have to be used by a main or secondary character?

35559 I didn't exactly start my challenge during Hurricane season but I'm not sure I want to end as early as I originally planned. Jennifer? Is it ok if I just continue on into November? Even though my end date would've been July, or is that bad?

35559 Gabby to the rescue! Nah just kidding, your welcome Lisa!

By the way I sort have that habit too but I usually go back and read them in order but usually only if it's advised or necessary.

35559 Lisa, you should know that Sex, Lies and Vampires is part of a series called the Dark Ones series. It's the third book in the series, just so your aware.

I think you'll really like Dragon Actually, I think I put up a review for it on this site if you want to take a look at that too.

That book is the first in a series called the Dragon Kin series, there are four out so far and the fifth one is expected to make an appearance in September of this year. It's supposed to be out September 6th.

35559 A long while back I read book entitled Sex, Lies and Vampires by Katie MacAlister.

It was an awesome read! My mom turned me onto the series it's apart of and I never looked back, I really liked the title.

There's also this other series that I love, the title's not all that humorous, but the book is really awesome it's called Dragon Actually by G.A. Aiken. It's a good read and reasonably hilarious!

35559 I agree with both of you although I'm also one of those people that usually wears their emotions on there sleeves, if I come across an amusing part in a book I'm reading in public I either snicker quietly or bury my head in my book and laugh in the pages.

Still not very subtle but hey I like a humorous book!

35559 I can understand that even though I'm not a parent yet.

35559 Good job everyone I'm still reading my last book!

35559 I think my mom considered romance novels "real books." because because they didn't have pictures or speech bubbles in them like the mangas do, that probably the only reason she considered them "real books."

35559 A courtesan or prostitute? I didn't think about that, if can't find any of the ones you suggested before I'll contemplate finding books that heroines like that maybe.

Thanks again Sans, and everyone else!

35559 Very good idea, thankfully I was raised not to really mind when it came to alternate lifestyles. Although my dad and my outside family are the only ones who don't know of my love for m/m novels.

I think my dad's aware of my love for yaois though.

It's a little strange though; and this is sort off topic; when I was growing up my mom sort of liked the fact that I read what she called "real books." which mostly consisted of romance novels.

While my dad didn't mind the fact that I read mangas he just couldn't seem to understand why I liked reading romance novels. There was some contradiction there I think.

35559 Oh man, I'm sorry for you Sans. She actually burned your notebook? 0_0 Um, just a little speechless here.

35559 Thanks Sans, I'm going to look into these very soon!

35559 Good job Sans! I'm still looking for books for the slightly more difficult spinster and professional heroine so any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

35559 Yeah, my mom's not real keen on the m/m stuff either. There was a time when I had just gotten Strawberries For Dessert by Marie Sexton and my mom said that she was going to read over my shoulder just so she could drool over the cover.

I've been trying to intrigue her enough so that maybe someday she'll read at least one m/m book in her life. :)

35559 This is probably a silly question but I'm going to ask anyway. This challenge is going from April to May right? So it's like a two month challenge?
