35559 I’m confused where I put my finished books…the spreadsheet is view only

Is it still just the planning sheet even though I’m done with the books, instead of planning to read them?

That’s where I have it, and it works for all four as the Great Alone is basically all about survival…so I didn’t choose

35559 I promise I’m reading team!! Challenges that start mid month always throw me off as I plan all my reading for each month so I was in the middle of like 5 books that won’t count for this.

I do have one completed but will need to get that added!

35559 Just checking in I’ve been struggling between a rough time at work, as cuts are being made, and also coming down with a sinus infection now. But I am reading. Just struggling to complete some that I started before the 15th and also do have one going I started after though

35559 So I’m kind of confused, are there specific things we should be reading for or just read what we planned and for it in?

Also, books need to be started on or after 5/15 begin of challenge right?

35559 Hi everyone!! I’m from the USA and so excited to be joining Book Games! I am reading challenge obsessed. I’ve done UNO, Towers, Wheels, CLUE, Turf Wars, so many more team ones through many groups, along with several go at your own pace ones over at FLOAB. I do a Tic-Tac-Toe prompt card challenge monthly with my sister, and even made myself my own TBR game to play monthly along with several TBR jars to pick books from in fun ways. I am not a great decision maker if you can’t tell by that last part—so many choices of books!!!

I’ll read some of almost any genre but my favorites are fantasy and mystery/thriller. My least favorites are classics and historical fiction (but I do like some just need to be in the mood). I avoid smut, and everything else falls in the middle for me.

My favorite colors are green and blue, but I really love tie dye so many colors work for me! I’m known for having many tie dye t-shirts and run tie dyeing events for fun days at work. I’m a supervisor at a mail order pharmacy which often feels like adult babysitting with the dramatics of high school, but the good days I love my job when I feel like I’m really helping make a difference in someone’s day or career path by helping them develop.

35559 Hi team—I’m sorry I’be been MIA the past week and a half—I was on a cruise and didn’t realize I’d have no access to anything! I apologize for therefore not being able to let you know ahead that I’d be unable to post. Also, I didn’t get much reading in while on there either, but I did have a blast it was an amazing experience.
I’m back now and wish this wasn’t over but was happy to be a part of this team!!

Thanks!! I’m so sorry I wasn’t on top of it, and I didn’t know this was one where there wasn’t much leeway after the round end. My Saturday week snuck up on me and weekends are normally where I can sit down and get all the names and such figured out. I’ll do a better job of keeping up as the books are read this round. I’ve gotten myself a notebook to write characters in as I read now so that should help with not needing to remember after lol

35559 I’m sorry team, it was my Saturday to work and the day was insanity!! By the time I finally got home I crashed, and I didn’t get all my books posted. Do we have today to post things finished for the round or am I out of luck??

Thanks this is super helpful!!! Several of these are on my TBR I’ll see if I can fit any in among my overly Christmasy (by design) late November/December TBR

Yeah I agree with all of that. I haven’t read it yet because about 5 years ago I was still holding out hope, but I do own a boxed set. Do you think it’s worth the read with the books that ARE released then? I just hate to be left with no ending/cliffhanger. But I suppose I can just make up my own haha

I was so excited that they FINALLY separated out fantasy romance! They still do have separate YA and adult fantasy, but now they added one for fantasy romance which I’m thrilled about because it was taking over the fantasy genre and I’m not a big fan of romance in my fantasy. I forget what made it through but in the first round, but the finalists are all adult titles (or classified that way even if some say they read more YA) at least in the Fantasy category.

I know it’s all basically a popularity contest, but I still enjoy it. I just wish they gave us more time once the books are announced. I’d love to be able to read most or all of them for a couple categories so I could say I read them all and voted!

I think I’ve read the least ever this year sadly. I feel like I’m always reading the ones from the year before in all categories 😂

Lol that’s what I was thinking. I’ve given up hope for him to write the end…even tho it’s the perfect time to fix what the show messed up in the ending season!

In another group I’m in that means both become BOTM but I’m not sure I’ve seen it here or if they do the same thing? 🤞

35559 Is this considered brown or no?
The Drowning Woman by Robyn Harding

In person it looks fairly brown but when I see it on my phone it looks more yellow and black.

EDIT: TinEye thinks only 32.1% brown, agreeing with the yellow and black, so I’m guessing it’s a no 😝

Small Spaces and Dead Voices were definitely my favorites in the series. I didn’t care for Dark Waters, I felt like it was missing something and then Empty Smiles I liked better but felt like the end was rushed and it could’ve been a little longer to answer a few more loose ends. I didn’t realize it was the end of the series until I reread the synopsis…overall I felt the series was worth the read though—I loved the strong friendship vibes, and the creepiness.
