If it's blue and not green. My monitor isn't really reliable, so I can't tell. :)

35559 Turns out we did get 475 points for round 1!

I had put the extra points in the wrong spot, but it got fixed. They won't change the spread sheet with the rankings but the extra points will go into the challenge total at the end. So everything got counted. :)

NP. I do that a lot when I read something on my kindle. :)

I'll see how far I get with what I have listed already by about Wednesday and then I'll let you know if I can commit to any more for the weekend."

Which version did you read? The one you linked to isn't 160 pages, but I know I'm not always careful to link to the version I actually read.

I just finished Cottonwood Whispers, the second in the series by Valent. It was really good, too. I love coming-of-age stories where we get to see the characters slowly grow up. :)

Thanks Michelle. They've been added now, too. :)

35559 FWIW I'm reading several books with V and U. (I finished one "V" author and liked it so much I've begun the next.) So don't let those letters hold you up - just read what you can and we'll work it out.

I've put your books in my spreadsheet, Tia. Happy reading. :)

According to my count we have 475 points - more than they have down for us. I've mentioned it in the Captain's Group board, so we may get a recount. Still, 8 out of however many is good. (That spread sheet won't load right for me, so I can't see how many teams there are all together, but there are over 20.) Oh, Tia said 22. That puts us in the top half!

And, as an 8 week challenge this is more like a 10 K run than a sprint. :)

Week 1 we read 39 books. For this week I'm hoping for the same. I probably won't be able to read as many, though, as I had started several already that now are done. So this week will really show what we can do as a group. :)

Let's go out there and Read, Read, Read! lol

Oh, thanks. I guess I misunderstood. I have a couple of books that can work for blue if we need them.

Actually, that's a question that got asked in the Captain's group - not stupid at all. Yes, it does have to work for the word somehow. :)

I caught that when I was going through everyone's shelves verifying and added it, so it should be counted. :)

35559 Well, I made it out and back and have had a few minutes to look at my TBR list for this week. A couple of these are for my book club, a couple are rereads, and the others just look good:

The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax Bishop (char), Lulash (char), U (title), Emily (char)
The King's Fifth O'Dell (author)
A Visitor's Guide to the Literary South V (title), T (Author)
Fireflies in December Buddy (char), Luke (char), Valent (author), Opal (char), Teague (char)
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society Isola (char), Eben (char)
When Calls the Heart Oke (author), Elizabeth (char)

35559 The spell-it-out rules say you can use the first letter in an author's first or last name. So I couldn't use author Kim Vogel Sawyer for V, right? What about someone like Rachel Van Dyken?

Just checking. :)
