35559 I have a question. I've never done any of this type of challenge before and I'm wondering how "strict" the tasks are. For instance, for the one that calls for reading a book about a chef would someone who makes their living as a baker or a candy maker work? Or should it be a restaurant chef? What about a cook for a household or a camp?

35559 I just finished Of Silk and Steam (London Steampunk, #5) by Bec McMaster , the final in the London Steampunk series. They were my introduction to steampunk, and I really like them. This final book was amazing, in fact I had a hard time putting it down to get other things done around the house. I'm so happy that the author is planning on writing more related books!

First, don't let me dissuade you from reading the next few in the Cater Street series. I enjoyed them for a while, then I though they got dumb. But I'm not into fake devil worship and such, so that's just me. :)

And feel free to change out books you'd planned to read for others. If you can give me one message with the books you're dropping that will help. Then let me know what you will read and the letters they'll work for whenever you can. I can rearrange if I need to.

I'm trying out a new system for posting on the spread sheet. I'm only recording a book there when it's read and verified, and am keeping track of everything else elsewhere, so changes are a little easier to handle.

So don't worry, just read and enjoy. :)

Did you like? I remember the first time I read that book - I was enthralled. I really loved Charlotte and Thomas Pitt. Unfortunately the rest of the series doesn't sustain the same quality, I don't think. But I like the next few.

Her Monk series is really good, too. I didn't love the first of her WWI books like I wanted to, but I'll probably read another some day.

35559 Great job, ladies! We have 26 books finished already! We've finished our word once, and have the blue cover and one book over 500 pages. I think that's awesome!

On another note, I finished listening to He Drank, and Saw the Spider and I'm really sad that there are no more books in the series right now. :(

If E is all there is, then I'll shuffle some things and make it work. Don't worry - no book will go uncounted!!!! :)

Oh, wait. No shuffling required. It worked just fine.
