35559 Now I need some guidance on the hunter/tracker choice. Does this include private detectives and people hunting down an object or person, or only those who are officially hunters - like vampire hunters or animal hunters?

Thanks.

Great. I'll let you know if I need that O.

I loved Watership Down when I finally read it last year. Such a wonderful story!

I think that would work. So will Forbidden Fruit (Corinna Chapman, #5) by Kerry Greenwood , which I listened to and finished yesterday. So we're good for yellow. :)

I'm still not completely healthy, but have been listening a lot and can do one round of DANDELION, though I may need an O. I plan on rereading an Emma Lathen mystery, and so far her books have had one of every letter we needed. So it will probably have an O but I won't know for a few days. My head hurts enough that I can't read much. Mostly listening.

Would someone like to PM Paula and let her know we miss her? It might mean more coming from someone besides me. I hope she's not ill.

It's great to see us moving up in the rankings. So much better than starting on top and fading. I always root for the under dog sports team - comes from growing up in Colorado, where every team was always an underdog. lol But it's great fun to watch a team slowly improve. Good job, ladies!

Catherine,

I need you to either friend me or change your settings from private so I can verify your books.

Thanks!

35559 OK, I'm officially reporting our spread sheet is verified and going to bed. :)

DANDELION may be tricky, only 7 usable letters. But I have faith in you ladies. It should be interesting.

I am so impressed that you have actually read Ulysses! You're the only person I "know" who's actually finished it. lol

35559 OK, I think I have every usable book listed now. We have 575 points, which is awesome since unfortunately there are a few books I can't use unless things change in the last few hours. But still, that's great!

Our new word is DANDELION. Quite appropriate for spring, don't you think? The color is yellow.

ETA- A message from the mods allowed me to use 2 more books, so we're at 595!

35559 OK, ladies, I've filled in the spread sheet 5 times. Here's what I have left:

C - Candida (Tia) ✓
U -
L - The Boarded-Up House: Lucia, character (Tia) ✓
T - Witch World: Tregarth, character (Tia)
U - The Lathe of Heaven author (Tia)
R - Spring's Awakening: Rilow, character (Tia) ✓
E - Emma (Ozana) ✓
D - Rebecca: Author (Ozana) ✓

C -
U -
L -
T -
U -
R - Full Moon Rising: Character Riley (Kay) ✓
E -
D -

We have to fill in the U somehow or move them around to include the last book.

I had to eliminate 2 kids books because they didn't have at least 40000 words, which is the rule for kids books. And I haven't used Catherine's books because she seems to have set her shelf to private and I can't verify her books. I sent her a PM, hopefully she'll see it and respond in time. And I need to know how A Natural History of Dragons works for D from Ozana.

I'm really sorry that my being sick has messed this week up a bit - but I really was down for the count. Fortunately I could still listen to audio books, or I wouldn't have gotten much reading done, either. I'm doing better today.

Whatever we end up with it looks like another good week, and you ladies have proved your a real team! I'm going to take some more medicine and lay down again for a while. I'll check in again in a few hours to see where we are.

35559 Ladies,

Sorry I've not been on board here - I got really nastily sick. I'm doing better now and will be able to get everyone's books posted later today or tomorrow.

Just be sure you've got them marked read on your shelf, OK?

Thanks!!!

Yes, Michelle, we're still on WILD STRAWBERRY, except for a few folks who feel the need to jump the gun. lol Plus I wanted the new master list to be toward the top of the page to make it easier for me to find. Sorry for the confusion. :)

FYI You skipped one E and used A Lady twice. Not that you have to spell it out twice by yourself - I just noticed when I was transferring everything to the master list. :)

Wonderful! I happen to be reading 3 books with mostly white covers, so we're taken care of for that part of next week.

ETA And I forgot I have a non-fiction book that has to go back to the library this week. It starts with U. :)
