Can I use a book I started before the challenge but stalled out on? I was at 20% but when back about 15 pages to remind myself about what was happening. So I'll read about 370 of the 476 pages during the actual challenge. I couldn't see a rule against it but if it's unsporting I won't count it.

Welcome, Ariel. This is going to be fun. You could always answer these for ice breakers.

CB and Keli -
Would you like me to use these in the new puzzle or do you want to choose new letters?"
Sure, C for the new puzzle.

I have not been consuming sugar, except booze, but making those snickerdoodles was fun and tasty. I'd love to make your cinnamlm cookies.
Sammy, what are these cinnamon cookies! I love cinnamon. Is it in the dough or are they rolled in it like snickerdoodles?

In a group I was a mod in, I ran a challenge called Meet a Member. It was a good way to get to know each other. It was nine standard questions and a unique 10. While we wait for the fun to start, we may as well get to know each other better.

While we wait for the fun to start, we may as well get to know each other better. Here are the standard questions with a few tweaks for this group:
1. Why did you join the Book Games Challenge?
2. What is your favourite genre? Be as specific as you like.
3. Who is your fave author?
4. What is your favourite book?
5. What is your favourite colour?
6. What's your favourite food?
7. What is your favourite song?
8. What is the best book to film adaptation you've seen?
9. What's your favourite movie
And since I'm making Snickerdoodles
10. What is your favourite cookie/biscuit?
Luckily, the ones that are leaving on my audbile I've already listened to or have in paperback. But I only joined a couple months ago.

Me too. Not my usual interest, but does sound fascinating.
I didn't make it past the first Caraval book. It was alright, but not "wow." I can't invest it books that don't wow me when anymore. I appreciate that they are setup to be duologies or greater, but what happened to telling a story, a complete story, in one book? It's annoying when questions go answered, but there has been 350 pages of mediocre worldbuilding and character development and where the only thing that gets resolved is some weak premise, like the corruption or hypocrisy is exposed, or the games aren't real, or the mc realises that their enemy is really their true love, or, my personal fave, they successfully foment rebellion. Sadly, none of that is enough on it's own. Let that be the overarching plot that hopefully hooks the reader, but don't make it the main story. This is why I've avoided the lord of the rings. Sorry rant over.

You are walking onto a stage with people clapping and cheering for you. What is the theme song playing you in?

-If you got your 15 minutes of fame, what would you want it to be for?
Curing cancer (I'm assuming in this scenario that this is something I can do)
-Do you talk to your plants?
Sometimes, but only to question why they're always dying.
-Do you still consider Pluto to be a planet?
Yes. I still don't understand why it was demoted to regular space rock.
If you decided to host a late night talk show, who would be your first guest(s)?
Erasure
-Who was your childhood crush?
Jon Bon Jovi before 12 and Keanu Reeves after 12
-Any current pets? Want to share pictures?
Yes, an adorable old Jack Russell named Womble. I don't know how to get a pic off of Instagram, so here is my link
https://www.instagram.com/p/C02ZgDwsd...
If this hasn't worked you can just search my actual name keilaniclinton. My insta is mostly nails, books and some oats (when i used to be able to eat them 😭😭😭) there is one of my nails but my little guy is in the background.
-Whiskey or vodka?
Wine
-What was your worst haircut?
It wasn't a hair cut as such, but I got head lice aged 7 and freaked out so badly I asked my mom to shave my head. She wouldn't, but she did cut it to about 2 inches. My hair is quite curly. Not great look, but it is so much easier to rid my head of lice.
- Backpacking or luxury hotels?
Hotels and as lux as I can afford. We've stayed in some great places. We recently stayed at a luxury dog hotel in Malvern.
- Speaking of luxury, what is your dream car?
Too many to name. But the first that popped into my head was a 1967 Ferrari Spider any colour
-Would you rather have a cook or a maid?
Maid. I think this might be a sign to work one into my household budget.
-And finally (for now), what books are you looking forward to reading for this challenge?
I have so many books planned. Where do I start?!
