Add me to the list of those with super old ones on my list.
I have 3 2018 ones left and I'm slowly chipping away at them, but man do I hate seeing those super old ones linger.

Ok here is the tracking sheet I came up with, I tried to keep it similar to the official sheet to make transferring the info easier. Let me know if this link doesn't work for anyone.https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...
On the Books tabs, columns F & G are where we'd fill in whatever we find in the book that will work for the meals. I added one book I'll read, so you can see how I filled it in but add it however works for you as long as the justification is added.
The two color columns on the Books tabs (H&I) will auto fill based on your book information, so you won't need to enter those. I kept them from the official sheet to make it easier to see how many times and where a book can be used.
I then added a couple column where we can mark what meals the book is used in after we decide and a check box to show it's been added to the official spreadsheet.
On the Meals tabs, again the two color columns (E & L) will auto fill based on what is entered so they don't need to be manually put in. This tab is just like the official one, so I figured we could use it to brainstorm our meal ideas before moving them over to the official sheet.
Let me know if there any changes you think the spreadsheet could use.

I do know at some point during the challenge that I will be picking up some of Jackie Lau's books. She writes great contemporaries that usually have a lot of food mentions in them, so I know they'll have a lot of options for this challenge. I think most of her books are on Scribd if anyone wants to pick any up. I know for sure the Holidays with the Wongs series has a lot of food mentions if the first book is anything to go by.
I can create a tracking sheet for us that will have columns to list all options for the spell-it-out and scavenger hunt items. That way we can see all the books in one place, with all options, and come up with meals.I can work on it later this morning.
Hi Everyone! Looking forward to this challenge starting.I'm Melanie from a tiny town in New Jersey no one has ever heard of, but I'm a 25 minute drive across the river from Philadelphia. I primarily read romance (historical, contemporary, suspense, & sometimes paranormal), thrillers, cozy mysteries, and urban fantasy (no regular fantasy for me).
A few of my favorites so far this year are below.
This sounds so fun, I'm in. I usually read around 12 books per month, but can increase that as needed (particularly as I am working from home until the end of the year, perfect for the length of this challenge).
Book #6 is done, another one from 2018. I am doing so much better this month than I have the past few months and it's only halfway through the month. Finally some progress on the backlog.

Yes, getting the oldest one completed is always great. Last month I cleared my original oldest one which was from 2017 leaving 6 from 2018. I'm now down to only 5 left from 2018 and hope to get a couple more of them off this month.

That's great we've maintained our spot while also closing the points gap.I have requested off work the last week of this challenge, so if approved I'll be hopefully reading a ton that week. I don't have anything particular I need to do, but it's now August and I haven't used a single vacation day yet this year. I get five weeks worth of vacation that has to be used by the end of the year since we're a use it or lose it kind of place, so I really need to get a move on and start taking time off. And what better time than the last week of a reading challenge?
I'm not going to finish The Wicked Sister before the round ends, so I've moved it to Round 5. That leaves a T open to fill in the last complete word, which hopefully there's something that will fit there.

Great, thanks. And that's a good way to think of it as I'm never sure what to do with those last names.
