35559 Question, how do last names that include "Van" work for the spell it out? For example, I plan to read the below book by Kimberly Van Meter, but I'm unsure if it works for V or not?

Colton's Amnesia Target (Coltons of Kansas #2) by Kimberly Van Meter

35559 I've finished my first two of the month already. They were the two July books I didn't get to before the month was over, so I'm happy to knock those out of the way first.

The Ultimate Betrayal (Maximum Security #3) by Kat Martin
The Ultimate Betrayal | My Review

Come Home to Deep River (Alaska Homecoming #1) by Jackie Ashenden
Come Home to Deep River | My Review

Now I should probably get to my August and September ones.

35559 Well I unexpectedly have the day off work due to losing internet during the tropical storm this morning (I can get on GR from my phone), thankfully my power stayed on.

So I should be able to finish the anthology I've been working on plus another book or two depending on if it comes back up sometime today and I have to resume work. I somehow doubt it will be fixed that quickly though as Comcast is never quick to fix anything.

35559 Connie, you have some great books in there. I see a lot of ones I've read and enjoyed.

35559 Sorry, I'm actually not going to get to my last one before the cutoff. I'll take it off the sheet.

35559 I had to remove one of my books that I claimed as I won't get to it this week. It was the C in the 4th spelling.

I should have the 2 books I have left remaining on the sheet done by Friday (both Z's).

What if there is no editor that you can see? Nowhere in the ARC is an editor credited, it just lists each author and the name of their story. The cover doesn't specify one either, it just lists the author names in the order of the individual stories (which is alphabetical by author last name).

35559 Question. I have an ARC of the following anthology which I'll be reading during the next round. I can count this for the challenge, right? It's 7 new stories in the anthology, not a bind-up of ones otherwise available.

Once Upon a Twelfth Night by Christina Alexandra

If yes, letters wise it would be just the title and authors that can be used, right?

35559 Just wanted to update that I'll have my first book done for the round either tonight or tomorrow.

I'm a bit behind as I received word from my work that work from home will be extended for the remainder of the year. That meant I needed to go into the office to grab stuff that's been left there since I started working from home 4 months ago. Plus I had to spend time reworking my home setup as now that's it's permanent, I needed to change some stuff around.

I still have a to-do list that's a million miles long, but I need a break after 4 non-stop days of working on this.

35559 Just an FYI, I don't know if it matters but the formulas for counting the number of books read in the Member Info tab were incorrect in the planning sheet so I fixed it (it wasn't counting all of the spellings we did).

They're incorrect in the actual sheet as well for all of the rounds if one of the captains want to correct it.

I noticed as I went to check to make sure I was actually making my target for each round and saw my count for round 2 was off.

35559 Finished my book.

Oh, that sounds great. I have a copy of Spinning Silver, but haven't read it yet. I did read and love one of her other books though, Uprooted. I should make time before the challenge is over to read Spinning Silver.

35559 Just wanted to give an update since we're coming up on the deadline. I will have my last book for this round done around 3-3:30 pm EST, so an hour and a half or so before the deadline.

35559 Question, are we able to use the plural version of an MPG for one of the tasks? Not sure if the plural/singular rule only applies to tags or if it can work for tasks as well.

Task 138 - Read a book with MPG Western

The below book has the MPG Westerns, so I'm wondering if I can use it for that?

A Cowboy State of Mind (Creedence Horse Rescue #1) by Jennie Marts

35559 Lexi wrote: "That works, no one is going to count the trees."

Ok great. I think I'm overthinking some of these.

35559 Yay, Z's! I had a few books I've been saving for a Z, so I claimed a couple of them.

Question, would this one work for task 80 forest on cover? The woman appears to be walking through a forest/the woods and it takes place at a cabin in the woods. But I don't know how many trees are needed to count as a forest? Or really the difference between woods and a forest.

The Birthday Girl by Sue Fortin

If not, I have other tasks it could work for so no big deal if woods aren't the same as a forest.

35559 Judith an FYI, the Master Task List in the planning spreadsheet isn't counting the tasks used on the Round 2 sheet. There's an error in the formula for the columns referenced from the Round 2 sheet (using columns E&K instead of D&J).

Never Look Back (Criminal Profiler, #3) by Mary Burton"

That works for me.

Also, I moved one of your books to I, could you add the reason why please?"

Great, I'll update my task for that one. And I added the character the I works for. I also noticed another of mine moved to E so I added the character who works for that.
