I think you can still sign up to be on the waiting list for replacements. But I'm not sure you can just choose which group you'll be put in if you do.

Chapter 15

(view spoiler)[It never made sense to me that their punishment is to go into the forbidden forest... especially at night. And also separating into groups! As if these little first years could defend themselves from the dangerous creatures running around in that forest. It's just unresponsible !

On another note, I love the centaurs in the Harry Potter world. haha, they are so funny, always looking at the stars and being all criptic. (hide spoiler)]

Well, there are always differences between book and movie. The first Harry Potter, to be honest, is pretty well done. At least in my opinion. There aren't THAT many differences. Just a few minor things if we look at it objectively. But of course, being devoted readers, these details matter to us. haha

chapter 13

(view spoiler)[Neville is one of my favorite characters from Harry Potter. I love that in this first book it's kind of thanks to Neville that Harry and his friends figured out the truth about Nicholas Flamel. I wish they had kept that in the movies.

Originally there was a scene in the movie which was closer that what we have in the book. But it's still not quite the same. It only shows how clumsy Neville is, and not his kindness when he gives Harry the frog card.

true, true. That's a critique I've made in the past, too. it's really a discriminating system they've got in Hogwarts. I know they present the house in the brightest light possible when doing the sorting, but there is so much stigma attached to slytherins... that's just sad. Also, the system only breads competition. and too much competition can be very damaging. especially at that age.

chapter 5

(view spoiler)[ Harry meets Draco for the first time at Madam Malkins. Every time I reach this passage I can't help but think that had Draco not been so arrogant this first time they spoke, both of them could have become friends and the whole story would have become very different. For one, Harry wouldn't have been so against being sorted into slytherin and the hat would have put him there. Draco would have benefitted from having Harry as a friend, because I'm sure Harry wouldn't let Draco just say whatever about muggleborns and maybe he would learn some humility form him. Maybe Snape wouldn't be so horrible to Harry either, with him being in Slytherin. So many things could have been completely different ! (hide spoiler)]

ah, yes. I've seen them a few times on instagram. But, indeed, I was talking about the official 20th anniversary editions. They only released the first one so far, and the second comes out in the summer. The ones you thought of, however, are custom made. They are really beautiful !
