Chapter 10

Meg (view spoiler)[ buys Sam a leash. I was really afraid at how the others would react to that. presenting it as savety line was a good idea, but that only really convinced Sam.

Hi everyone. I'd like to participate in this buddy read. But like Eldarwen and Maria Helena, I'll be a couple of day later. I've started a faw books already and wouldn't be able to handle another until I finish a couple of them.

I know. I watched the show before reading the book, so I had to adapt a bit. Some of them don't look anything like the description. Especially Lemuel. I'm all for a diverse cast, but it confused me at the beginning.

I'm starting it now. I'm right at the beginning, the moment when Newt is entering the bank.

(view spoiler)[That joke was priceless. And I love their way of trying to get away with it. That they didn't give Dudley the sweet. The Dursley are really stubborn. They didn't let Mr. Weasley help them until the tongue reached an incredible length. I can't help but laugh at the image.
Also, it really made me laugh that Mr. Weasley thought Dudley was simple. haha. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I definitely didn't enjoy it as much as the first time. I downgraded my rating from five to three. The problem is that it's considered cannon and there's just so much that make no sense to me now that I paid attention to it. I can't let that slide. It's not just a fanfiction in which the writer is allowed to change things for their own plot development.

Act 4 Scene 6

Something that surprises me here is how close Snape and Hermione are. She calls him by first name, while she calls Ron by his last name. Is there something going on between Snape and Hermione? (hide spoiler)]

I feel like the writers did a lot of fan service, knowing what the popular pairings and tropes are in the fanfictions. It wouldn't surprise me that they added a comment here and there that would appeal to readers of these fanfiction. Like later Draco says something about liking being bossed around by Hermione.



Also this scene once again reinforce my love of Severus Snape. He's still faithful to the memory of Lily and once again sacrifices himself to save the world. He's a true hero. A grey one, but a hero nonetheless. (hide spoiler)]

Act 2 Scene 11

(view spoiler)[ The thing about this play and the different timelines is that some of it is really interesting; like Ron marrying Padma and Hermione becoming a teacher instead of minister of magic. It shows how little things can affect the future.
The problem I have with this is that some things don't make sense; Why has Hermione become such a Snape? She's so mean. I don't see how that could happen. (hide spoiler)]

I love the solidarity in the complex. And it's so nice to see them considering Meg one of their own. It was a great scene.

I think the series is supposed to be finished. I haven't read the whole thing so I can't be really sure. But I can sayt that Charlaine Harris has a habbit of reviving series when the tv-shows are successful. So who knows.
In any case I like this series so far. So I would recommend you give it a try :)

chapter 4

(view spoiler)[I'm really afraid to see what Asia is going to do about Meg. I'm sure that anything she'll come up with will end in disaster. Not only for Meg, but for the whole Complex. I'm especially afraid that she'll somehow discover where Meg comes from.

I'm really liking Tess. She's badass and has awesome magic hair. I wish I had hair like that. The only downside is that it betrays your emotions. (hide spoiler)]

Act 2 Scene 6

(view spoiler)[ I love Scorpius. His firendship with Albus warms my heart. The perfect bromance.

I know some people have accused this book of queerbaiting, but I don't see it like that. For 1, Scorpius is clearly infatuated with Rose (btw his little attempts at flirting/getting her attention are really funny). And 2, Is it not possible anymore to have strong friendly feelings for someone without it being interpreted as romance?
Sure they would make a cute couple. But I don't read this particular play this way. (hide spoiler)]
