35559 Almost the end of the round. I have 1 more to finish.

Next round is going to be fun. I have the Game of Thrones Boxed set to work through.

35559 I am a hoarder and I have a series of 6 with the MC named Xenophon. Bad this is they are about 300 pages each.

I can probably find something else in my sci-fi shelf

35559 I hope you feel better soon Angela. The flu is no fun. I have fallen victim to the Audible sale, I now have enough books to keep me out of trouble for a while.
I am reading a lot but updates will be coming slowly over the next couple of weeks. The flooding in BC is very bad right now and I have a house full of people that have been evacuated.
Everyone stay warm, safe, and healthy

35559 Hello my lovely teammates. Surgery went well and the doc said everything looks great. I am going to be in recovery until mid-December and not very active.
I plan on reading all the big books in my house. (not sorry at all). Have a lovely day and enjoy the fall weather for me.

35559 Finished my last book for this round. I barely got any sleep but I love the series.
The Wheel of Time is out and the first 3 episodes can be watched with the last one coming out on Dec 24. I am goin to read the series before I binge it.

Also, how was A Canticle for Liebowitz? I keep meaning to read that one, but I never have."

I am looking at another week. WooHoo!

I enjoyed Canticle. I read it years ago and it is much different to my adult eyes than as an angsty teen. It can be difficult to get through some parts but I always tell someone to try reading a book they are curious about. You never know if you will find a new favorite.

35559 Last couple of days. I am cheering everyone on from my couch. I have 2 final books to complete. One will hit every letter so I will put it in the last column and let the captains decide where to put it.

35559 I was scheduled to have surgery on Wednesday but BC has been dealing with massive rainstorms and flooding. It is about 270mm of rain in 24 hours. So I have been put on hold and given more pain meds.
I can wait since there was a massive landslide in the mountains that has people trapped. They need medical attention more than I do.

35559 I finished all the books I signed up for an added 2 more to the SS. I guess breaking stuff is good for my reading time. I might add 1 more before the end of the round

Just read what you want to. And have chocolate. Lots of it."

Chocolate... that is medical advice I can follow.

35559 Well I did it today. I tripped over my cat and re-broke my ankle. I am wearing my happy face (sarcasm).
So how many books do we need this round? Seeing as how I am off work for the next 2-3 weeks and surgery is pending I will have plenty of time to read a bunch of thicccc boys.

btw my cat did say he was sorry.

35559 I think the movement of the book is part of the experience. I don't think it would read quite the same with out it.

Now I want to read it again.

35559 I have read that one and I agree. It helped to sit at a table so I could just put the book down when I needed to turn it funny direction.

I have always enjoyed that book. I read it to my nephew over the summer and he has become a little dragon crazy.
