35559 Yeah, one of my books had tons of words and I stopped doing multiples of words after awhile and didn't even add in for real desserts or drinks because I knew they wouldn't be counted. I read the second book in the series and will read the third too because there are so many good food words. I will get my tiny book updated today with both food and characters because it could be used for either. I'm working on a 600 page book right now. We can't go anywhere for Thanksgiving. The numbers are too high and Kentucky has some serious gathering restrictions so we can't even go to friends. No more than 2 households together, no more than 8 people unless it's immediate family that you live with. I'll be off Thursday-Sunday so just planning on relaxing, reading, and eating. John's off those days also so we may go look at new SUV's because we had budgeted to get a new one this year but we were waiting until the end of the year sales. I'll get to pull 9-10 hour shifts the next few days but hopefully I can listen to books some.

35559 If anyone wants a random book to read with a lot of ingredients to choose from, I'm working my way through The Saturday Night Supper Club because it had double P's in it for apples to apples challenge. It's pretty good so far and I'm just sad that it's only worth 8 ingredients and not 12. There are some good words in this book!

35559 I made a lot of meals and used ingredients from different people's books. I know that I still have blanks but I figured it would be easy to fill those in. A couple of us found out that Changeless has vinegar in it many, many times so I'm planning on reading that and if we need to just use it for vinegar for our fish and chips that would be good. I have one more books to add with food and then I'll probably have like 3 more books finished before tomorrow night. So with the special words, I don't know how to add the word if it wasn't in the book that I made the meal with so I may need help with that.

35559 Hey! Okay, so I'm catching up some of my tv shows today and will be working on adding my words. I have a lot of words to add for one book so that's going to take me a hot minute plus the chapters are labeled weird which means I have to do page numbers so that's really going to take awhile. Thanks for making meals for me. Welcome back Jenny! Are you feeling better? I saw you update the spreadsheet. :) We are back under some serious restrictions here in Kentucky so no Thanksgiving plans at all which means more reading time and down time next week.
Nov 19, 2020 06:18AM

35559 Sure, I will work on that during my downtime today. I have a couple 200ish page books to figure out words for and a few more books to add. I did a couple on audio so I have to get the ebook version and hunt. Yes, I noticed we didn't have her this past week for turfwars so I was wondering if we needed to pick up some books for her. I hope she's feeling okay.

35559 I think we should have enough of the special ingredients to use one for each meal because those are pretty common words in some books it looks like. Also, what should I do about my 200-300 page books? I have one that I think has some pretty good food words that I can add but I wasn't for sure what everyone's reading looked like the next four weeks. Kentucky just got a significant restriction list so I'll just be going to work and home for the next four weeks. I know that I'll be able to hopefully have some more reading times.
Nov 19, 2020 05:36AM

35559 Cool, I will go change those around and make sure it's fixed. I have ingredients to add also for a couple books.

35559 Round 3 Final Pick

Adjective called: Sultry

Final noun pick: Girls
Nov 18, 2020 05:12PM

35559 I was able to get it cleared up in my mind. The words don't count as ingredients like the words we found last time so that I fixed the things that I messed up on my own lines earlier today.
Nov 18, 2020 05:09PM

35559 Thanks! Let me go fix what I did then.

35559 One more special word question and if it's been answered I apologize but I just want to make sure that I am doing this correctly. So for example: I am making a sandwich and I put in one line bread, neighborhood; it is only going to say that I'm using one ingredient on the books read spreadsheet in the calculations because I put the special word on the same line as bread. Are we counting the special words in the 12 ingredients per book or are we getting to use those words as additions and still get to use 12 ingredients? I really hope this makes sense.
Nov 18, 2020 10:48AM

35559 I'm going to ask in the big thread because I think I may be confused. Plus, if I'm confused someone else may be confused also.
Nov 18, 2020 10:43AM

35559 Nope it was the one this time. Like when I added neighborhood to the cactus line. It didn't remove it as using an ingredient on the books read line because I didn't give it a line by itself. So I had to go manually change the numbers so I wouldn't accidentally use too many ingredients per book unless the bonus words count differently but I know last time the bonus words were added into the ingredients that we used. If that makes sense.
Nov 18, 2020 06:33AM

35559 So I realized that when I added neighborhood to a line with a word already that it didn't remove it from the words that I used so I had to manually change that formula on the other spreadsheet. I hope this makes sense.

35559 I just went to read the responses and it's just the new words. We don't use the words in the past. Great job team! We are so not far behind at all and we can totally wiggle our way into that top 3. We got this! Plus, they really liked some of the names for our meals so kudos to all of y'all for naming because I'm not creative. Tammie, I'm glad you did some of those new words in meals because now I know where to put my neighborhood. I'll get my other couple books added today hopefully as long as clinic is okay. I'm really trying to stay on top of it this time.

35559 You gotta keep reading lol. We have 100 books to read. I don’t think we have round 2 results yet unless I’ve missed them.
Nov 17, 2020 11:11AM

35559 Page number question because I'm in tons of things and I can't keep straight. Do we use default page numbers or the page numbers of the edition that we read? This is the first time I've ran into where it would change the ingredient number so I want to double check before I put things in the spreadsheet. Thanks. :)
Nov 17, 2020 10:28AM

35559 Okay so I have a page number issue. I read The Summer I Turned Pretty Trilogy: The Summer I Turned Pretty; It's Not Summer Without You; We'll Always Have Summer but my edition was the pink covered kindle version which page number is 320 and the default is 288. Which page number do I use for this challenge? It changes the ingredient number so I'm double-checking. It has some good words in it.
Nov 16, 2020 05:14PM

35559 I left one word open because I found trendy and neighborhood but not sure which set of words we will be searching for and how we are supposed to use those in meals.
