35559 I just finished a book this morning and will post on the spreadsheet. That will probably be my last book for the week, unless I binge one tonight.

35559 Finished The Paris Seamstress tonight which will work for S, A, N. I found one of the fright words from below. Let me know if I should look for others. This is probably my last book for the week.

35559 I’d recommend anything by David Sedaris. They’re usually pretty quick and humorous. I think most are marked Memoir.

35559 I'm listening to Explosive Eighteen now and was hoping to finish for BEIGE, but I don't think I'll be able to finish it by 5pm today (that silly thing called a job is getting in the way). The word "Frankenstein" is in it so if no one has claimed that word yet, I can take that one for week 4.

That's funny, I wouldn't really consider this a Horror series either. It's definitely psychological as you said, and some scenes are pretty disturbing. I guess when I think Horror, I automatically think ghosts, etc (definitely not my favorite).

I really did! I read Rules of Civility last year and it was probably one of my favorite books of the year. This one took a little bit to get into - his writing is so complex, I felt like I needed to keep taking breaks every couple of pages. However, the last third of the book really flew by!

35559 I am listening to The Girls and should finish it by Friday at 5PM. So far it will work for letters N, T

Same thing for The Accidental Beauty Queen which I'm reading. So far it will work for letters W, T

I'm also reading A Gentleman in Moscow but I'm not sure I'll be able to finish by Friday, so we might need to save it for next week. I'm not sure yet on the letters

35559 I live in Northeast PA with my husband and two puppies. I work as a fundraiser for a science center/museum geared toward K-12 students.

I've only started participating in these challenges over the last year, but I love how much they boost my reading. It's like having an accountability partner when you are part of a team reading challenge. I've also branched out into other genres a lot more than I have in the past.

My favorite genres are probably mystery/thriller, chick-lit, literary fiction, and surprisingly (to me) historical fiction. That last one is one of the new genres I have started reading recently after having avoided it for years because I thought I didn't like it.

My husband is an avid reader too, so we spend a lot of our evenings reading on the couch with the tv on for background. I have a pretty long commute to work, so I'll also listen to audio books in the car.

I'm not great with spreadsheets, so I'll probably be posting my completed books here. Thank you all in advance for entering those for me :)

Happy Wheel Day! Go team Half A Yellow Sun!

35559 Hi everyone! Looking forward to another fun challenge and to getting to know each of you :)

Here is my shelf - wheel2019
35559 I watched the Netflix movie of this and really enjoyed it, so I was motivated to pick up the book. I just finished yesterday, so I skipped ahead to answer the Day 5 DQs -

DQ Day 5

17. Do you think Josh’s actions toward Lara Jean stemmed purely from the letter? Or was it maybe a combination of the letter and his breakup with Margot?

I think a lot had to do with his breakup with Margot. I think Lara Jean said at one point that it was weird because they were the trio (Lara Jean, Margot, and Josh) but then Margot left for school and Lara Jean started dating Peter, so Josh was kind of left on his own. He drifted away from his friends when he was part of the trio. He probably felt left out and saw the letter as a way to stay connected to the Covey family.

18. Lara Jean’s character has gone through some growth throughout this story. How do you think it will affect her relationships going forward?

I think she'll be more likely to actually tell someone she is interested in them instead of writing a letter that never gets sent. She'll put herself out there a little more.

19. Were you surprised to learn who mailed the letters? What do you think of Lara Jean’s reaction to finding out the truth?

No, not surprised. I think Lara Jean took it a lot better than I would have, that's for sure.

20. Do you think Peter and Lara Jean have a chance? What about Genevieve’s connection to Peter and her hatred for Lara Jean? Do you think that will cause trouble going forward if they try again?

I hope they have a chance! And I hope Genevieve just gives up and moves on.

21. Did you like the way the book ended? Was the story captivating enough to motivate you to read the next book?

I am planning to read the next book. I'm especially curious to see how the book and the movie compare. I thought they did a great job with the movie - I actually wasn't really interested in reading this until I watched it.

35559 I have a question about the reviews/looking for your opinions. I won a goodreads giveaway of a kindle book and finally got around to reading it this month. It was terrible - like one star bad.

Should I write a review, or should I just leave it at the star rating? What would you all do?
