Did you like?"

Yep :)! I read Grimspace a while ago, I think I will first continue the Siratha Jax series before going back to Dred Chronicles since Dred is spin-off. Then I will have more background (I read that we first meet Jael in Sirantha Jax series).

No problem. I will check out the new rules now. I like them too, they are more flexible. I will find something :)

Asher's true love is JC without a doubt. I don't know if you read about their background and the history they got together, but that's something Anita will never have. I agree that JC puts up with her.

Ezinwanyi, I keep fond memories of Richard from the earlier AB books. I know that not a lot of readers like him, especially as the series progress but I understand where he is coming from. Also it seems that once Anita and Richard are in a room together they are not really communicating, they are both equally stubborn.

Hmmm, I like Dina. Sean is okay -- I love the pictures, rawr hahaha. Caldenia disturbs me. She's kinda creepy so far."

Loved the art! It really added something more to the reading experience. (view spoiler)In this case I'm rooting for Sean :) What did you think about Arland?
35559 It's been a while since I read Clean Sweep. I remember that I got confused by the worldbuilding so I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one. I rated it 3 stars which is surprising, because in retrospect I did enjoy it more than that.

Steven wrote: "I like it so far, yes. Is it as good as the Edge or Kate Daniels? I'm not convinced it is yet, but I will say -- the worst Ilona is better than many of the best by other authors, so there's nothing to complain about. "

Amen to that! Couldn't agree more. Normally Sweep in Peace is coming out soon, according to fictfact and GR both its release is planned for 1 december 2014, but I'm a bit worried.

I'm currently still enjoying their banter but I wonder if I will feel the same by chapter 12 :) lol I usually like slow built romance, it's fun to see who will give in first. What a bummer for the audiobook.

35559 I'm currently reading Bayou Moon (The Edge, #2) by Ilona Andrews . I'm about to begin with chapter 8:

Angry!! I liked this series until the end..."

Nice rant, Allison Ann :) Let it all out. I understand what you mean. I had it difficult to reconcile my idea of Ruth with the Ruth we get to see at the end of the book. I didn't feel that Ruth necessarily wanted to have kids/partner. That is something that through the book has been pushed by her mother and friends.

33.Chapter 23 focuses primarily on Nelson. Its a bit of ugly and a bit of good that we learn about him. Has your opinion of Nelson changed? Do you like his character?
No, not really. I don't like him, he cheated on his wife and children multiple times. He has no redeeming qualities.

34.Were you surprised to learn that David, not Eric, was the killer and kidnapper?
No, there were a lot of hints before (with Lucy hearing the birds for example). But I didn't knew that the letters and the kidnapping were different persons.

35.David disappears into the water and Ruth is "surprised at the strenght of her impulse to save him. It seems that even the death of a murderer can provoke pity" (p.295) What were your thoughts reading this? Do you feel the same as Ruth?
I don't know how I would react in the same situation, mostly it depends on impulse. But I did think David 'disappearing in the water' a bit weird and anticlimatic, just because he thinks he heard a bird.

36. We learn Eric has drowned. Were you surprised? Eric did chase Ruth into the saltmarsh, what do you think would have happened if he had caught her?
It's convenient. I think he would have killed her because she knew the truth.

37. I did not like Cathbad's character. I think that Griffith intentionally set it up this way. Does your opinion of Cathbad change because he helps Nelson find Ruth.
By elimination, Cathbad is the most likeable character in the book. Still, it's weird he goes from one extremity to the other.

38. We learn Ruth is pregnant. How do you feel about this? Totally pointless. I didn't feel their connection, and it's much too soon in the series. Even if Nelson divorces his wife & children, Nelson admitted he cheated on Michelle (wife) several times before who says he won't do the same with Ruth also. But at the other hand I have a feeling that Ruth sees no problem with that based on her observation at the diner with Peter, she admired Eric and his wife polyamorous relationships (the only thing is that polyamory doesn't involve cheating since both Eric and his wife knew from each other). Also I don't think Ruth knows what she really wants, maybe she only wants to have an affair.

39. Did you enjoy the "Crossing Places"? Why or why not?
Not really. I agree with Sonia with what she said in post 170. I can deal with Shona even Peter, a little drama is ok. But it seems all the characters are a bunch of cheaters & liars & hypocrites. Ruth is not someone I can root for. Plus the stereotypes.

35559 I just finished Blindsighted. I started it yesterday (technically the day before yesterday since it's just passed midnight here) and I rushed through it. I liked it but I had to hold my heart at some occasions (I'm not sure if that expression exist in English), there were a lot of passages I had a difficult time reading, I had to put the book down several times and think of other things. But all in all it was good and I'm looking forward to the sequel.

I loved both Mercy and A&O, but I do kind of enjoy the A&O more. Not sure why, really. But I love the supporting cast of Mercy so much! :D "

A bit the same like KD series (book 3 just blew my mind away), I can't wait to check it out :)

I always come back for the characters, MT is mainly character driven (unlike KD which is both plot and character driven in my opinion). I'm really looking forward to the 4th book in A&O series.
