35559 lol! Diane, I'm jealous! That's model height ;)

I think I'd rather be short as a woman, than short as a man... I'm super happy my boys will be tall. No Napoleon syndrome, lol!

How innovative Sophie! I would definitely fall and break something. It's all running shoes for this girl! ( I own lots of pairs though!)

35559 Yes! It seems they put him in a stretching machine! At 5’3” (and shrinking), my boys tower over me at 5’10”... I’m thinking they will all reach 6 foot for sure. They enjoy crowding around me making me feel like i’m in the land of giants 😂

I’ve had trouble jumping into the buddy reads :/ do I have to join at the same time, or can I Join in late?

Thanks Sophie! I think he got even taller :D It was a great experience for him. He's been so sweet and interactive since he's been home. It seems this experience has helped him to really grow and mature. I'm hoping it flows over into his school year.

35559 Victoria- I agree! I’ve read those and a few others ...Salt to the sea is another great one.
It’s just a bit draggy with maybe less depth?

Sophie-yes! U’s too... I started a Q book while driving to get my kiddo. I didn’t prepare one ahead of time, so I just picked one I had downloaded. Turns out we don’t need a Q , lol... it will fit somewhere :D

35559 Minnie- Have fun! It sounds exiting for your Little’s :D

Anita - great find! I knew I saw one with witches somewhere

Victoria- it took me a while to finish Lilac Girls too. It does pick up more towards the end and I thought it finished pretty well. Those historical fiction books can always be a bit rough. That one is based on true war characters- war really is disgusting :(

35559 I think that Minnie had posted a suggestion for scales earlier.

35559 lol Suzanne! You are a trooper... I would think there are some witchy books with Cauldrons on the cover? I can look through mine and see...

Still looking for a smashing item....

35559 That’s a great idea. We might want to post that one in the the room of requirement ... just to confirm our thoughts ;)

I can look for some :) I've got a couple of hours before I'm off to get my baby (who is a foot taller than me! LOL)

35559 For transfiguration I have a book with a puppy on it and I'm reading Watchers which has a grown dog on it (same breed I think!) Or is that too similar?

I'll look for some of those others ... seems crush and grind would be easier than Cauldron and Scales....

Really enjoying Watchers btw! Such a good story, classic Koontz

35559 Oh and I really don’t like those reviews that people summarize the book. Especially when they give away all the juicy stuff ! It’s a real talent to review a book without re-telling the story.
Berit has a blog and she does a great job with reviews... don’t know where she gets all the time! That’s what slows me down. I’d rather read than review ;D

35559 I get Netgalley arc books and am supposed to write reviews. So for those I try really hard, actually had one be used for a promo (kids book ). But I agree I need to work harder on just writing my thoughts on it as a reminder .

My husband and I have been watching The Mockingbird while the kids are away. And darn it if I don’t get that series mixed up with Divergent and The Maze Runner. Makes me want to go back and re-read all of them!!!

35559 Sophie~ Congrats! My husband used to joke and tell people we would knock our twins back down so they wouldn't learn to walk. Two up and mobile at once was not fun! LOL I never topped em over, but my husband might have ;D

Suzanne- glad to hear your little GD had turned a corner. So young they don't understand why they feel so bad, poor sweet baby .

Ingrid- Sounds like a great getaway! Glad you got to relax.

Leslie- I've had that one on my list for a while now! I even used a credit on it! Can't wait to hear what you think... i know Suzanne enjoyed that one.

As for me- my youngest son (to be 15 in 2 weeks) comes home tomorrow. He will be excited as he loves to get one on one time with me :) once a baby , always a baby! We have until Saturday , then his 16yr old brothers will come back. I can't believe how fast the time has gone! And , my house is still a wreck because hubby and I have been vacationing within the house! lol! Off to finish the bathrooms and listen to my book... I'm listening to Watchers by Dean Koontz, which has been on my list since I joined GR.. and it's a LONG read at 624 pages! YAY!

Happy Monday y'all!
