Ive read a few of the BOM’s but have fallen behind as well... hoping to re-ignite my spark for the remaining weeks!

It's looking like TT will be continuing a few weeks longer, I haven't noticed any chatter against the decision. Guessing everyone on Team Pomona Sprout is for continuing past the original end date???

Awesome! I’m reading The End Games and Every Ugly Word ... I can cover the E and/or T. But if someone fills it first go for it. It will take me a few days as I’m as the beach :D

I want to read Red Sister too, but I’ve started A Little Life, my 36 hr audiobook ... it’s taking a while to get through as y’all can imagine. I am enjoying it and am only listening at 1.5 speed.

I agree, it wasn’t a very likable or interesting story. Just sort of factual. And that doctor one, she was just a b!T*h ...no morals at all.

Just started Leah today! I have NOT read Simon but so far seems like I didn't need to, I can follow the story no problem.
Here goes the first round of Questions for me..

Discussion questions Chapters 1-9 2&3 May:

1. Have you read Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda? Maybe seen the Movie yet? (I haven't, it is not out in The Netherlands yet) Did you like the book/movie? For me it was a while since I read Simon, but some of the characters stuck in my mind so for me it helps with the dynamics of Leah's group of friends.
I have not read Simon, but it has been on the top of my to-read list for a while now. And I never see the movie before I read the book.

2. From what I've read so far I love the references to fandoms, fanfiction and reading. A quote for the Slytherins among us: "I'm basically your resident fat Slytherin Rory Gilmore.", Do you think this describes Leah?
Ok, it's been years since I've read the Harry Potter series... I don't even remember a character by that name. But will be sure to look them up!

3. I love the friendship between Simon and Leah. Did you have a friendship like theirs in highschool?
I'm guessing we see more of their friendship in book #1, It seems like they have a decent relationship. Without the backstory it seems "casual"

4. "Imagine going about your day knowing someone's carrying you in their mind. That has to be the best part of being in love - the feeling of having a home in someone else's brain. What's the best of being in love for you? Do you agree with Leah?
There is nothing like Teenage love <3 Aww those strong feelings that can make you feel like your flying! As a grown adult, love is another thing... deeper and more realistic and somewhat "functional". I agree with Leah from the teenage point of view. Because I know as a "40 something year old", my husband does not carry me around in his mind. He's too busy at work ;D lol

5. Do you read fanfiction like Leah does? Or make fanart like she is making? Do you post art or pictures you make on Instagram or Tumblr? Do you maybe write fanfiction, if you do what kind and which fandom?
no, I'm too busy reading novels

6. What do you think of Leah's group of friends? Do you like them?
I like the group of friends, they seem very normal to what I remember from my teen years. They get into a little bit of trouble (drinking at parties) but what teenager doesn't?

7. Will Morgan's rejection letter break up the group of friends? What did you think of her reaction as to why she did not get in to the university? Do you agree with Leah's reaction?
I'm not sure it will break up the group, but it will definitely bring on some hard times. Her reaction to me seems typical for most people... point a finger at someone else rather than point it at yourself. Instead of saying she should have tried harder and studied more, she blamed race. I agree with Leah, but find her reaction strong... yet she seems like a girl who isn't afraid to say what she thinks.

Teddie-I just finished Chapter 17, and it almost sounds like they’re saying it’s more of an unspoken rule rather than an impossibility for Fhrey to kill Fhrey . Is that how you interpreted it too?

Melanie, I can definitely see that. And I listened to his foreword where he explained how he writes all of his books before they are released. I thought that was pretty smart! I always wondered how authors had so much forethought for a series! He seems to have the solution.
I can see that I will re-read this book again , especially before going onto #2.
Also, just realized my audiobook is off on chapter count... I’m just starting chapter 18. So may have added to my “confusion”... lol

I'm listening to the audiobook story. I have the ebook and usually try to read along.. especially with such "foreign" names. But I've been too busy to pick it up. Which means, I'm finding so many characters tough to follow. I appreciate having this buddy read and from your previous comments it sounds like characters intentions aren't very clear.
What I do know is that I agree with Persephone, she is a great character and I appreciate that she isn't a teenage girl. Seems like so many books these days have a teenage girl as the MC. They are fun, but I'm ready for a more mature character.

I enjoyed the beginning with Raithe and Malcolm. After all the other characters got involved, I've had some trouble following. I'm planning on pushing through and hoping things become more clear ;D

Congrats Leslie! That’s great news, change can be fun! Sounds like less work in the long run :)
