I've been MIA since my return from England but have just finished A Good Girl's Guide to Murder - loved it! Not sure it fits any of the monster tasks though (I'll double check).

No results yet :( Hoping Monday will finally give me some relief. I've been reading like crazy to make the time g..."
Fingers crossed!

Same here my two dogs, love them to bits so... feeling for you.
Sending lots of good vibes your way - hope she gets better soon!

I'm back too - Tara, your trip sounds amazing!! :)
Mine was wonderful as I finally got to see my family again after almost three years (I had originally planned to travel to England in April 2020). It was great fun - and we enjoyed the jubilee celebrations :).
I'm still reading A good girl's guide to murder - which is excellent so far.

I’ve finished my R read (also my first) and filled in the sheets accordingly. I’ve been a little slow but sticking to my 2 / month rhythm so far.
I won’t be checking in this coming week-end but not to worry, I will be reading :). Currently in a bit of the Dreaded Slump. Time to pick up something light :).

I see everyone's been reading loads - some of those books have made it to my wishlist :).
Happy reading everyone.

I’m trying to read They Came From SW19 by May 15 and doing really badly - it’s a light read but work’s getting in the way. And all work and no play…
Can’t wait to start the challenge! :)

I've caught up on all your messages so here goes...
My name's Elinor, I'm English and I live in Belgium. I'm 42 (but don't tell anyone the truth about this please, we've a family tradition of fibbing about our age, but I'm too honest to stick to it!). We have two small dogs. As a child, I had a Doberman who loved ping pong! Snezana, glad your pug has recovered, what would we be without them?!
Loving the sound of moving abroad and everyone vacationing in Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro... I haven't been to those parts yet though I've seen some stunning photos.
Curious about this year's theme - I did enjoy the film Troy: incredible performances, Priam is simply beyond words!
I'm an IT consultant, currently developing fullstack Java applications, mostly from home - and I really hope it stays that way!
We've just finished UNO with Melissa and Kimber, and I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone else and sharing our reads :). BTW, amazed at the 1000-book challenge: I've set mine to 33 this year and now feel so weak... I love real books too, and tbh have never really given audio/e-books much of a chance.
I'm also unsure about the BOM and I've never written DQs - how do you go about this?
Just checking I've got this right: we need to cover 84 books in two weeks for the May mini (starting May 15 9pm UK time) - if so, I can take one (but it won't be long) as I'm off to the UK at the end of the month so will be MIA for 7 days and I'm a slow reader. I'll definitely keep you posted as we near those dates as probably will miss one check-in. As for the other books, they go towards the complete three-month challenge (i.e. without a monthly count?).
Cheers everyone and can't wait to get started... off to check out those sheets.

I must have missed some or other message, because I ended up perusing the teams to find myself here :). Looking forward to the challenge - this is my first TT so please bear with me while I get the hang of it.
Signed up for two books a month - but basically read 1200p a month on average so we may want to switch those around a bit ;-).
Now, off to read all your posts. Can't wait to start the challenge!

Team challenge information can be found in the folder here
Enjoy! :)"
Thank you very much :)

I'm Elinor, I've just joined the group - I've been told you have some fun team challenges like Tower Teams and Wheel. I'd love more information about these if possible (I'm not sure I'm looking in the right place tbh ;)).
