Same as Paris here. Just let me know.I’m waiting for Malibu Rising to arrive and will finish The Island Home by Libby Page in the meantime.
Heya,Little confused here, apologies if these questions have already been answered.
I'm currently reading a book which I don't think we'll be able to use for the Monster Challenge - this means I should bank it in the Trojan Warships AEGEAN SS with its top 5 genres. Have I got this right?
Also, I'm planning to read "Malibu Rising" this July - if I use it for BOM questions, may I also bank it in the Trojan Warships (as long as we don't need it for the Monster Mini)?
Cheers for any help out there :).
Thanks everyone for all the information about the BOMs, it seems clearer to me now. I've volunteered as backup for Malibu Rising in July :)

I swear, she's worse than a zombie =D
Ashley wrote: "Elinor and anyone else, BOM DQ volunteering is still open for Malibu Rising if you think you might be able to read that one and write questions: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/......"Ashley, Malibu Rising was on my wishlist (after The Seven Husbands but I've moved it forward). I see you have to post DQs on specific consecutive days. Am I allowed to read the book upfront and just post my questions on the right days? Could I (just imagining 'cause I don't have it yet) start the book today for instance or is everyone supposed to read the book at more or less the same pace (if so, I'm probably out due to slow reading).
My other question is about backups - I see other teams have had several members posting DQs - if I sign up as backup and we both write sets of questions for all the days - do we get double the points?
I feel a bit of a dimwit about the DQs. Apologies for that and cheers for the help.
PS: the only thing I can do for Medusa is read a book the right length - though assuming that's already covered by other reads. But do let me know if it's not, as I'm just starting on a new book, it's the right time to switch.

Well done Team :)

Melissa wrote: "BOM really makes a difference in this challenge! Especially if you get picked for DQs. If anyone is interested there are still a couple available to read and answer DQs! They’re on the spreadsheet ..."(I see other teams have massive BOM points already)
I'm afraid I've missed some of the details re BOMs. When do you need to read them for? And I thought if you read them you were eligible for DQs in any event - so how does that get decided and what's the timeframe for providing the DQs if you do get picked?
Ashley, how are we doing comparatively? I’m really competitive too, but don’t have enough time to crush it for the team I’m afraid - I feel you guys are reading like crazy though - those numbers are just incredible!
My current book, which I should finish by tomorrow at the latest (enjoying being able to say this for once!), is 447 pages long (T81) and has GR rating > 4 (T75). I’ve tentatively completed T81 in our tracker, but don’t mind (re)moving it as required. Just let me know what’s best.

:)
I'd definitely be interested in the list of what we might get if you have it at hand.
You guys are moving really fast on the Monster Challenge, I'm always super impressed by how much you manage to read :)I'll just see if whatever I read fits when I finish it though because I'm a slow reader.
The Sphinx (riddle, journey, ...) made me think of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Melissa wrote: "For Read a book with a map there needs to be an image of a map somewhere in the book. Does A Good Girl's Guide to Murder show an actual map? I forget."It shows Little Kilton like this:
Melissa wrote: "Elinor those specific words need to be used to describe the character. Variations such as no hyphen are ok."Thanks Melissa, was on phone and had missed previous messages on this. Unfortunately not in the text so won't fit.
PS: thinking out loud, if the character being bull-/hard-headed is enough (i.e. doesn’t need to be described as such in the text), then Pip in A Good girls’s Guide to Murder definitely fits the description too. I have Sunny Days and Sea Breezes that will fit the Zeus Monster if necessary. Just let me know by Friday as will need to dig in properly over the week-end if we go that way. Cheers.
Alaina, so glad to hear your dog is all good. Ashley, I need a Tesla too - gorgeous cars. But yes, stay safe in the meantime…
Re T19, does the character need to be described specifically with one of those words in the text or could Brianna in On The Come Up fit the bill because she’s very determined and rarely takes her friends/family’s advice?
