Done!
I squeezed in an extra book if needed - The Knife of Never Letting Go which would work for P (author) & M (character). Just let me know and I'll add it - otherwise I'll just stick to my planned book on the spreadsheet which I will finish by Saturday 11/6.

Oh dang! :(
I won't finish anything else in time probably - if I do it will be a miracle so can't promise. Plus I'll be on a girl's weekend to Chicago tomorrow so will also be distracted.

@Andrea - I have had The Golem and the Djinni on my TBR forever! Glad you liked it - would you say this book is better read than listened to? Some books are like that. I didn't know it was UF genre (not that I mind) and if all spots are fulfilled for this extra bonus I will keep to my two committed books since I do not want to over-read for this challenge and I know I will fulfill my quota reported. :)How does that happen? LOL - the challenges always get me going and I feel I could have easily reported 6 books vs. 5 (but no more than that!)
I'm going to add my last book to this round since I'll finish it tomorrow or Friday but then I'm good until next. :)
Definitely enjoying my reads :) and finally finished my audiobook that I started before the challenge (Ask Again, Yes which I really enjoyed). Now I'll get on to listening to something that will count. Hmmmm, what to pick....
I LOVED House in the Cerulean Sea - great book on audio. *Chauncy* was sooooo cute!I've signed up for an S - and we're almost a go!
Hi everyone! I love the team name as well. This is my third Wheel - also do Uno & Tower Teams. I'll read pretty much anything (put down 5 books/month so can hopefully keep to that and not get slow as I tend to do sometimes - and I never quit a book either, haven't allowed myself to do so yet.
I live in Lakeville, MN, USA (CST) and hoping for some good titles over the next few months - and can't to see what you all are up to reading. I do one audiobook and one print at the same time so that ups my reading numbers - audio is a fairly new thing for me but glad I was able to get into it. I do have to concentrate on the narrator however.
I'll be finishing up my print book shortly and will start another one on 10/9. I also need to finish my current audio so will focus on that one and possibly getting another one going also after the start date.
So looking forward to reading with you all! :)
@Jammin Jenny & Carrie - thanks, some books are just better read. I think I'll stick to print when I order this one in - SOON.Last hurrah?

DQs Day 3 ~ Eight - Ten (p195)9. Linus completed his first report for the DICOMY; what did you make of it? Did you think he reported anything that he should have left out? How about future reports – how do you think they will compare to this one?
I think he was very careful with his first report. He was still in the DICOMY mindset and professional - you can tell he is a very good caseworker and I think he will continue to be.
10. Ms. Chapelwhite takes Linus on a hike through the forest to show him a raft that she wants reported but doesn’t want the children or Mr. Parnassus to know about. Linus was taken aback by the message sent on the raft. (view spoiler) Did your opinion of Linus change when he suggested they send a message back? What did you think of his message?
The message of course was based on fear and prejudice. Linus actually came across as a very strong and well-opiniated person to take a stand against the message and people who sent it.
11. Linus seems a bit smitten with Arthur. Do you sense there is a mutual attraction between the two? Do you think anything will take root and blossom?
It's very subtle but I think and hope so! Very unexpected.
12. That was quite the adventure that Lucy led. Were you surprised that Linus stepped up and began to join in on the story? What all did you learn about the children, about Linus, about Arthur and Zoe?
What else could he do? He's a good case worker and there to work and get to know the children. Again, very consistent for his character.
13. As this chapter wraps up, Zoe and Phee are talking with Linus listening. He can relate to Phee’s comment that she likes the trees better than she likes most people. Do you think Linus learned anything from the “lesson” that Zoe gave him through Phee’s growing the flower for Linus and her explanation of the trees and root system?
Everything is interconnected and worth keeping an open mind to. We can all learn (and relearn!) these lessons and relay them to others. We can all get something out of hearing others' philosophies.
